I love stouts, ales, barleywine, porters.... Etc but I can stand hoppy beers, I just can't. I tried Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale the other day, I thought this might be good, couldn't even finish 6oz's. So I wanted to know if any of you guys know of a hoppy beer that non hop lovers seem to like ? ( I know this is a weird request ) I have been interested in Heady Topper(I'm not sure why) but I'm sure I will hate it

I am not a big IPA fan, but Oskar Blues G'Night Red IPA is pretty good.

Why are you forcing yourself to drink something you don't like?
I think your time, money and calories would be better spent exploring the styles you do like.

Actually I have a 3 year old Pliny.
I am sure all the hops have faded. Sounds right up your alley.

Anything from Lagunitas. They're hoppy, but they're also really sweet so they can appeal to people who don't like the intense bitterness from most IPAs. I would recommend Lucky #13, Little Sumpin Wild, or Brown Shugga

It kinda got lost.. when I found it the beer was a year or so old.
Now it just sits on the credenza in my office.

If hops aren't your thing, I think pale ales like SN, Deschutes Mirror Pond, FW Pale 31 might be worth a look. If it must be an IPA, try FW Union Jack -- it's citrusy vs. piney. IMHO.

Stoked on the Big Eye reference. Big Eye gets overshadowed by Sulpin.

    Love me some big eye!
