5th Anniversary Beer Gift for husband?

Smoked beers first came to my mind, but I'm funny that way. Barrel Aged beers are a great idea, too, of course.

The wooden crate idea you suggested is good. Anything barrel aged would fit. Sounds fine to me.

I'm forever looking at this and thinking "next time..." There's only so long I can hold out before I pull the trigger.

 

To be honest, I like the OP's original idea of a vintage wooden beer crate with some various barrel aged beers, and i'd have to agree Bois would be perfect (assuming he likes Old Ales). Maybe see if you can find some special barrel-aged beers that he doesn't have access to normally? It might have to be via trade, and I'm not sure how comfortable you are with it, but it's the only thing I can think to contribute right now. Good luck, though.

 

Maybe get him a membership to a Beer of the Month club.
