Black Butte XXV. I have a few of these so I thought I'd open one before the best after date.

Morning everyone. I have recently had some fabulous and fantastic beers from stone. . . . Well I didn't really like their imperial russian stout when I had it so I have another to try today to see if I want to rerate it. This one was bottled more recently than the first and it's warming now. Cheers!

I was legally drinking in the US at 18, we briefly flirted with the lower age here. I was lucky to be there at the time.

I was surprised to find this. Had it last night and really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to trying it again with a little time on it. Pic is horrible, I know (sorry). -Deschutes Green Monster

I have that in the fridge. Wow, that is not the color I would have expected. What do you think of it?

Visually it is golden. Nice head and lacing that sticks around. Pleasant taste...so far I am liking.. eating some Jarlsberg swiss cheese with it for lunch..

I liked it as well, I thought the cacao was subtle and the chile heat mild and well done. A suitable replacement for the 'bite' of hops.

Decided to finally try this one. I think I have moved past this style. It doesn't have "enough..." something. Hop, barrel, character... something. Nice mid-day light beer, though.
