would love to check out the craft beer scene while i'm there.

Here is a good place to start. Parking can be ridiculous...public transportation or cabs in the city are the best bet.

I'm sure others will chime in on more specific places that will fit with your limited time frame. I'm not big into the bar scene, but Lord Hobo shows up in conversation a lot. Just didn't want to see you completely hanging in the breeze, mate!

And welcome aboard - looks like you just signed up?

In the city and Cambridge proper, check out Trillium and Cambridge Beer Co. As for bars, check out Stoddard's, JM Curley, Bukowski and Kinsale.

The visiting Boston summer guide included above will be the most compelete source of information, its very well done. If you are looking for a personal recommendation, you really can't go wrong with Lord Hobo in Central Square, its awesome and a lot more convenient than Sunset Grill and Tap. Publick House in Brookline is amazing but will get very full depending on when you go. Very underrated spot is Tip Tap Room, new spot open in Beacon Hill on Cambridge St, they usually have a great tap list. If you are in Boston proper, its your best bet.
