i was lucky enough to have a growler of the DRIPA recently in the city and i was pretty blown away, i think its one fantastic dipa. anyway, i'm just trying to get some more info on these guys since i only found out about them recently....seems like they fly under the radar a bit but i'm guessing they definitely make some other awesome brews, just from reading reviews and what not. i checked out the website and nothing comes up from the history/product tab

so how long have they been around for? guessing the distro is a bit limited, i think new york has gotten a few kegs but i haven't seen anything they bottle around. what are some other offerings i should try to get via trade perhaps? i was gonna jump to the iso:ft but figured some locals to the area can shed some light on this topic first. i love the snifter as well it looks really nice ! do they have any plans to bottle the DRIPA? whats worth seeking out? thanks !

Oh, Kuhnhenn... So much to say and so little time! Try doing some research on this site. You'll find a lot of stuff

Beers to seek out (all brewery-only)
    Bourbon Barrel 4th Dementia (BB4D)
    Bourbon Barrel Barley Wine (BBBW)
    Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock (KRE)
    Kuhnehnn Blueberry Eisbock (KBE)

These are all released when more is found in the back room if they remember to brew it. Distro is limited to the brewery and a few places in NY. They are going through an expansion and will be bottling/canning and distributing. I wouldn't say they fly under the radar as people all over the country contact me to pick stuff up.

Kuhnhenn is like a guy with one leg that's really good at skateboarding. You're amazed by some of the tricks and you're shocked by the ability to pull it off (and it's kinda funny when he falls over)....

    gotta love 'em!

Hit the trade boards around Xmas. Their Winter Solstice event is late December and at least some of those bottles, along with others, should be up for trade around that time.

The only thing I would trade Kuhnhenn BBBW for is more Kuhnhenn BBBW

Not under the radar at all, very sought after, but also a smaller brewery with limited production and very limited distribution. They are very sporadic with distro, we see some in GR maybe a couple times a year, usually 4-D, Mayhem, or Braggot. The BB4-D and BBBW are my faves of what I have had, the Mayhem was my first ever drain-pour. Most of their high abv beers do lean to the sweet side, so just keep that in mind if you dont do sweet beers, this is what got me on the mayhem, but I have liked the others.

i guess that was the wrong way of putting it when i said flying under the radar, i think a lot of the recent crazes with new releases like DDG and TG bottles kind of cloud the trade forums at times so maybe i just haven't seen these circulating around as much or i haven't seen them mentioned as much. which is understandable if its that limited, but i'll definitely keep my eyes open around december if people are gonna be going to the releases and what not

There's really no bottles for sale, just a couple things left over from the last winter solstice.

Unfortunately, this is true. Also, no DRIPA or Creme Brule growler fills either. At least as of today.

Last time I was there though no SPD in growlers. Unhappy. I went specifically for that :-(. I agree that the mead is incredibly good. Can't wait for winter solstice.
