Voodoo Barrel Room Release 9/28

This shouldnt have come as a surprise since a couple weeks ago they mentioned all bottles were going to be 22oz and no 12's. All bombers were a 1 bottle limit last time, why would this time around be different? We will even have the opportunity to drink half the offerings on tap for those that want an aged verse fresh comparison!

Color me excited. Sign me up. Anyone in line yet?

 

Damn I was really hoping for more than one K13. Oh well. Still psyched.

I was actually in line this morning, but went home to get a sandwich, hoping to go back in line later today. I will let you know when the line gets to two.

I am also excited that a majority of the beers will be available on draft. We will get to drink them that day and then open our bottles at our pleasure.

Not to mention, they already sent Apple Brandy Gran Met to U Pick 6 in Erie and House 1K beers, I believe, so that's pretty awesome that we will get to try these beers on draft. I personally am excited for the Wynona Big Brown aged in Dad's Hat Whiskey on the Firkin, as well as the other brews on draft.

 

Camping in.....that jockey box is inside I think they said! If you can let me just smell your glass after you finish your drinks, since no one else will get any!!

 

Added some of this weekends Lawson's release beers to the bottle share. Total didn't realize this was next week already lol. Looking forward to it!

I'm going to be driving thru on Sunday... since all bottles will be gone on Saturday, will there be any taps to survive until Sunday so I can try these tasty treats?

 

Maybe, but either way it is worth the stop. They do a brunch and they will have beer...there is no way to speculate what will be left of the "release" stuff but its worth checking out anyways

Somewhat related but off-topic for the most part.

Did anyone happen to pick up one of the green text pilzilla glasses that were being sold at discount during the last barrel room collection release? I want to say they were like 3 bucks? If someone has one and they would like to work out a trade, message me please.

 

here are some more details for next weekend's release.
- arch street will once again be closed off between water and market streets for your safety and convenience
- porta-poties will be available
- the large tent will be set up like last time
- the pig roast will start around 5pm this time in hopes of having some pulled pork bourbon bbq sandwiches for your late night appetites along with zapp's voodoo chips for $6
- we have more 22.5oz snifters this time. it's a slightly different glass than last time, but the logos are bigger and they are $10
- the 12oz snifters with the 8oz graduation are available again as well for $6
- we will have live music starting at 6pm in the upstairs area
- there are discounted room rates available at the days inn as well as the holiday inn express for those of you who will be staying
