Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows of a really good online beer site either in Canada or that delivers to Canada? I've checked with Half Time Beers and they don't deliver here. Someplace with a great selection would be preferred that also doesn't cost a fortune in shipping. Not a good selection of beers here in Nova Scotia. Thanks!

Jerky of the month club? these people are brilliant!! I wonder if they do combo packages, beer and jerky of the month club? I might be on to something here.

I manage to find enough at Premier Wines & Spirits and NSLC to survive between trips to Maine/New Hampshire and Quebec.

Only for people in Ontario it seems. (Edit: slow reply and someone already pointed this out.)

Unfortunately, my GF and I don't drive. While Premier does have some interesting stuff, it still isn't a big selection and their prices are exorbitant. The NSLC has a horrible selection of beer. I lived in Ottawa for a year and a half and I used to go over to Gatineau to this store called Broue Ha Ha. It was amazing. Almost the entire store was Quebec microbrews, and you could buy singles of everything.

There's nothing that I have come across.

You could try Beverages 4 Less in San Diego. Buddy claims that he ships anywhere in the world, but I've never explored it with him to figure out. Give it a shot, he has some excellent stuff available. http://www.beverages4lessinc.com/index.php

Edit: if Beverages 4 Less (or any other site) does work, be prepared to pay ridiculous shipping fees and even more ridiculous customs fess. Will probably add $10 per bottle, if not more.

I don't think liquor laws in Canada allow such a distributor. If there was it would be limited to the province in which they operate.

The owner of Beverages4less has shipped to Canada a few times. There is a way, legally, to ship beer/alcohol into Canada, especially Alberta. A friend was down San Diego recently and had a very long, and informative chat regards shipping into Alberta. For it to make financial sense, it's gonna have to be a minimum of 36+ bottles, but it can happen.

I think your best bet would be to make friends with someone who lives near the US border and set up a mail box

LOL, that is just ridiculous. I can have 12 bottles shipped to Buffalo for $40 and pick them up myself.

Try Quality Liquor Store out of California, shipping is probably ridiculous for your location but they have a really great selection (Russian River included)

Same here, Just to Port Huron. I get Etre orders shipped there for $75. Last time I checked, Belgium was a little farther away.

What better way to deter international shipping than to have a high shipping rate!

The up mark on that is ridiculous. I've shipped Dangerous Goods for work at half that price. Someone is greasing their pocket for sure....

Sooo, what I do is I have called and setup a free account with The Corporate Center in Ogdensburg NY. They will recieve shit in my name, sign with ID for 21 Year-old verification for me (they know I'm over 30), and call me at home to say when I recieve a box. Then, once in a while, I do a 45-minute car ride up there after work to go pick up my orders, pay my flat rate of 3$ per package and be on my merry way.

At customs, I have the receipt printed from Paypal. All is koscher, and the less you have, the more youre usually just waived through.

I've done great business with Bring on the Beer (OR), Ultimate Wine Shop (NJ), and we have tried also Let's Pour (though prices a a tad higher, they do have CC and such that still makes it interesting. Half-time also I almost used a couple times, specially when they do free shipping within NY.

Hence, the key is finding a decent place that will sing alcohol boxes in your name, and you instantly have a simili US address.

Shipping costs for online stores usually floats around 33$ a case of 12. Anything above that youre getting ripped off (unless its styro, then I'd pay an extra 10$).

Not all places also accept a Canadian address on a credit card and a US address for shipping. Anywhere that accepts Paypal does, but from experience, a good half of online stores dont do it. I know some people have a US credit card... I just havent figured out how to get a US address on one myself. Too lazy to do it at this point also

    Hope this stuff can help.

I have added my US address as a second address on my Canadian Credit card. Just call your bank and they will add a second address for you. Problem is that for some reason it still doesn't work in some on-line stores in the US. I have called my bank and they don't know why.
