News to me! Looking beautiful I must say. I know traditionally they have done very small CC releases in November during or around SD Beer Week - some years at the brewery, some years at Toronado SD

Do they usually only allow in house consumption?

They only allow it to sit and collect value over the years.

To my knowledge, yes for Toronado SD, however I was not at the release last year

I thought you could buy CC at Toronado at bar price and take off-premise? Or at least I heard someone was able to do this with 2 CCK?

SD Toronado doesn't have a off premises licence (SF does, but only rarely allows CC to be sold to go).

I thought they did the on site thing because people were hiking prices and refilling bottles with fake booze.

I hadn't heard of that but I do know T-SD is on premise due to their license, however in an email when PNC was released there they had said they were in the process of trying to obtain a bottles to go license

I hope it doesn't taste like chlorine again...

(If someone from LA reads this, yes my 2012 bottle of Cable Car tasted and smelled like pure chlorine but I would love another bottle  )

Seeing as I'll likely never get to actually try Cable Car, this thread is depressing :slight_frown:

Will be available 10/17 at 6PM, both Toro locations, per Toro SD email.

Any news on the release at the brewery itself?

I've always wondered about that. When you look up the licences for their two locations you find that SD is under a Type 41 license and SF is under a Type 42 license. When you look at the terms of the license here, both allow for sales for off-premise consumption. The only real difference between the two licenses is that SF cannot have kids and does not need to serve food, while SD must serve food and can allow kids.

I have a feeling Toronado SD just chooses not to sell bottles to go.

I'm pretty sure the brewery doesn't have releases for CC, it's only available at the Toronado locations and that's it.

I've been to a cable car release at the brewery in the past. It even came with a patron sinners teku glass. Although It could've been a special promotion of some kind.

I think your completely right. Because didn't they release a certain amount of T25 to go? I'm pretty sure they did.
