So is "Library sale" a nice way of saying "Resale of bottles that dudes didn't pick up before the deadline"?

If it goes the way it's been going, tomorrow is BA speedway 2012, 2x bottle limit. but that's COMPLETE speculation

 

It was the 2011 decadence today 2x bottle limit

 

TR Manager said that the rarest bottle they would have is BA Decadence 2011 since it was only released once... which I find weird or he was messing with me. He said Speedway variants would be happening all the time so keep ye eyes peeled.

 

Today was a total disappointment. How can they release the decadence twice in one week?? Mon & thurs, both the days I was there & wanted anything Speedway!!! Argggg

 

TR manager says that it's the "rarest" due to it only being made once. However, he said there would be speedway variants again.

 

I would think they would since there's a few more weeks left. Think each week they do 2 speedways and 2 non-speedways based on the last couple weeks of observation.

 

TR manager kind of joked with me saying he knew people were speculating online and that were wrong, I dont know if he meant that in a "all the time" or just then.

 

If the TR Manager of whom you speak is Nick, I could very easily seeing him get a kick out of incorrect speculation.

The BA Decadence 2011 may be an only release, but it is not rare. I am pretty sure that did not sell out when they did the bottle release, and it does not surprise me at all that it has and will be the most represented beer at the library sale. A lot of people did not enjoy 2011 as much as usual for the Decadance releases (maple barleywine - harsh at the time, but barrel aging did it well IMHO).

 

What was yesterday?

 

Kopi Speedway. It hung around almost until 1.

 

Ill be there today. Has there ever been a barrel aged Old Ale? Did anyone else try the new decadence yet?

Yes, though I'm sure you'll see future releases of BA Old Ale.

I tried the 2013 Decadence (Doppelbock). I liked it enough to get a bottle to try at home. I guess we probably won't be seeing a BA 2013 Decadence [smirk].

 

I was meh about the 2013 so I grabbed two bottles of the Old. Mainly because I thought that Old Ale on cask is fantastic, so I am hoping the bottles with a little age will mellow out like that.

I grabbed one. Hopefully its worth the price.

 

I left a little over an hour ago and there were still a few bottles left.

 

Seems a bit more on the bitter hops side than last year, but perhaps that is just me.
