Right lads and ladies, quite keen to pull our minds together here and see if we can vote for our most extreme beers by style. For example, Dogfish Head 120 Min with into stupidly intense 18% ABV is my pick for the most extreme Imperial IPA.
Any suggestions you can give in any style, whether it be pale ales, lambics, wheat beers or whatever would really be appreciated.

Tactical Nuclear Penguin is a stout if I recall. 32%. Sink the Bismarck is a 41% DIPA if I recall as well.

Both the classic and helles Samichlaus are 14% bocks, which has to be up there.

In the English Barleywine category: Avery's Samael's Destroyer. This year's is 16.9, and I think I had the 2011, which was still up there.

In the American Barleywine category, I'd provide Founders Bolt Cutter. 15%, and delicious.

It's no coincidence that most of these beers range from not very good to flat out awful.

One of the Mikkeller imperial stouts, at the bar a year or two ago, I'm embarrassed not to remember which. Point is, quite aside from the booze power, it was like if you made a milkshake from an artisanal dark chocolate laced with black-pepper. Like a Black Albert boiled down. Frankly, all a bit too much.

I've never had DFH 120, but Double Crooked Tree is the most extreme IIPA I've ever had. There is really no other beer that tastes quite like it, and at around 13%, it really packs a punch. Also, I'm no expert on sours by any means, but Cuvée des Jacobins Rouge is pretty darn sour as far as I'm concerned. Probably the most extreme sour that I've had (but oh man, it is good!).
