I missed out as well on the tickets. If anyone out there can't make it or know anyone who is selling/willing to do a trade for tickets hit me up!

Last year it was about 100 online and about 20 at the brew pub for a total of 125 ish at the party. I don't know if they ever really announced total #s.

Just don't get your hopes up, eh? Usually lucky if there's reasonable snow at Christmas, much less the beginning of the month. I think I'll be praying for no snow myself, so it's easier to actually get to Truckee.

On that note, several people always drop their bottles in the parking lot. 50/50 very kindly and generously replaces them, but being too drunk to carry your beer is weaksauce.

Agreed, visit 50/50 the next day, have a delicious meal (and more Eclipse!!) and get your beer then.

Another word of advice, be careful taking your shoes off after the party people have been know to break thier ankles.

Can't believe he made it back across the snowy courtyard, and THEN fell in his hotel room.

Got shut out this year. Even at 630am in Truckee there were already 12 people and only 25 tickets and I was 16th. I did talk with everyone and of the people who were there they were getting two each. So ultimate fan shut down, but hopefully next year. really sad right now

No tickets for showing up at 8:30am, but that's all good. Auburn Alehouse now.

You'd think that they might reconsider the two per given the amount of people there hours before - evidently not. Tickets usually pop up closer to the event when plans change for people, so good luck.

This is sad to see when 1st year supporters are not given some sort of favoritism, or first right of refusal - back when it took 3-4 weeks to sell out of 25 tickets these 2 were there. Come on FiftyFifty.

It is what it is. I won't lose sleep over not attending. A little irritated earlier making the 2 hour drive after leaving at 6am, wished they accommodated all who showed up by selling one per person, but in over it, just accepting I won't make it this year. Chilling at Auburn Alehouse with the crew.

The shitty part about the tickets for sale at the brewery is that they were suppose to be for "locals" not people that drove from LA and set up tents over night. I had a few buddies who live in truckee show up and get shut out.

Maybe it's the beer talking and getting shut out this year but I'm not a big fan of the craft beer scene at the moment. Sad day indeed

For folks who missed tickets, if there's something I know about this party (besides the fact that it's capable of doling out the worst 2 day hangover of one's life), it's that a good # of tickets pop up closer to the event. Those who really want (and deserve) to go should be able to figure it out. Good luck!

I've been lucky enough to be included for a 3rd year and it would suck to miss out. But who said the tickets at the brewpub were for anyone in particular? They were for those that made the most effort to be there first. I don't think it matters if it were LA, Truckee or Istanbul.

Sounds like I may be at the event this year. First time attendee after getting to 50/50 when in town for work last year I wanted to try and make it. I'll likely have a bunch of locals to share (Darkness is one for note as I assume I should hopefully get my 6 bottles at Darkness Day again barring sub 0 degrees no way am I camping out in that again...)

While I agree tickets do pop up closer to the event when plans change, no one "deserves" to go to this party over anyone else. People talk about issues in the craft beer movement but the biggest one I've seen lately is this sense of entitlement. Hell I've been a member here since 2002(but don't post much) and it is as bad as I've ever seen it. Weather tickets for this event or GABF or ????. People need to get beyond the mentality of, "If I don't get to this event, or try this beer my life will end". Sorry Rant off.

50/50 said they are selling tickets at the brewpub for locals. Granted they don't care who buys them but from what I remember that was the terminology used. Could be wrong though. I have a hard time reading and writing

Bummer. Original attendee shut out as well. I will have to sit by the fire that evening and look back longingly at photos from the first event with only 25 folks. The craft beer scene now is a drag. Too many folks out there trying to acquire a limited amount of supply whether they be tickets or beers. The bottle share this year will have to do without my contributions. Great party for those who are attending

I enjoy seeing new people enter the craft beer scene. It's nice to see people in this thread mentioning it will be their first year attending. My best advice to anyone in the craft beer scene is plan ahead and have a back up plan if the initial plan falls through.
