CANBIF Fall 2013

Hope you like the box Jim. That Mustard curry sauce is freaking great, and that Double IPA is world class, but drink now. Special B is also according to me, one of, if not Cada's best Belgian Quad. Very underrated. Anyhoo, I went all-quality. I know you said you didnt like pumpkin beers, but I sent you a couple of spice-forward xmas beers... some of our best. Cheers!

 

Got my box to the post office today.

Hint: Sending to the same province I sent to last CANBIF.

 

I have no issue with the quality of this box. I am down with Christmas beers, but there is something about pumpkin beers I just don't enjoy. I am actually going to use the sauce tonight on some chicken while I drink the double IPA, can't wait. Thanks again for the great box.

 

Next time I brew mine, I'll send you a couple bottles. I keep saying that people dont like pumpkin beers cause they havent had mine yet I brew it very different than what commercial versions I have tasted. Pumpkin pulp in every bottle... NO ONE can say there aint no pumpkin in my pumpkin ale LOL

Just dropped off my box with FedEx.....heading west!

 

Box has been dropped off - will soon begin its journey eastward. Destination, who knows...

 

Some amazing boxes have been delivered so far....I actually eagerly anticipate seeing people post pics of their haul!

 

So my final bottle was supposed to show up on Tuesday this week, but the wrong pallette got picked up / delivered. I've heard back from the brewery and it should be in stores "by this week, beginning of next week by the latest".

I'm torn between waiting for it and substituting and shipping but I think I'll make a game day decision tomorrow. I'm leaning towards shipping without if it's not in town by Friday... but maybe giving it until tuesday next week would work too.

Got home to find a parcel pickup note in my maibox! Unfortunately, it was at 6:30 by the time I got home and the post office closes at 6:00. Bummer. I also work till 6 tomorrow and the post office has the same Friday hours. Unless I can sneak away from work early, I might not be able to pick it up till Saturday. Double bummer.

 

Got not 1 but 2 cool boxes today from Tyler in Ottawa. Cheers buddy! Looking forward to all of these, all new to me!

My box went out in the mail today. Should have just sent it with Buck Pierce.

Hahaha, that's a bottle of Ragutiene Baltic Porter, brewed for Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton. I tossed that in as an extra in a box I sent to Tyler a little while ago, and he re-gifted it!

Beyond The Pale only do growlers. I figured 6 days was a stretch for a growler. And it's pretty far from me. Mostly the latter. I've been throwin' Beau's Opa's Gose at everyone lately and haven't tried it yet. Don't hate.
