They are jumping on the Vaportini bandwagon. I was extremely interested in the show. But after seeing the mockery they made of craft beer, It may have been my first, and last episode.

There was more to it than just antics, they visited some breweries, talked to people about the ingredients they were using (e.g. a chili farmer), and did beer/food pairings.

If there was something I didn't care for it was less the silliness of the beer and more the 3 dozen times they felt compelled to joke about "beer virgins." It's not that funny guys. You sound like you're 16.

So spreading awareness of craft beer to the mainstream in a fun, entertaining way is making a mockery of it?

I thought it was pretty cool. Kinda goofy at times, but I liked it. Its cool to see a show about good beer on TV for once. I'll tune in again for sure.

I love their bar in Newcastle
Yes it gets the posers in but the staff there are second to none
They will happily talk about the beer they have in from guest breweries and recommend good value take out bottles
I always have a great time when im there and I'm no poser

Almost done with the train episode (is that the first one?). It isn't a bad show, peeped quite a few delicious beers in there even outside of Stone where they were visiting.

I don't know about Brewdogs yet. The only thing it made me think of was how much I will miss Drinking Made Easy. Lamprey and McKenna didn't always pick the best breweries to visit (cough - going to Magic Hat in VT) but they did have some good visits - Allagash, Stone, Alaskan.

I also appreciate that McKenna is a non-discriminate chugger. BMC = chug. Stone Double Bastard = chug.

Hope to see their new appropriately named kickstarter project come to fruition.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was a bit too gimicky, like the whole on the train thing, completly unnecessary. But I guess they need that stuff to keep the attention of non beer geek viewers, just like Brewmasters had the corn spit beer.

And how was Toronado SD not in the top 5 craft beer bars. Maybe since the original is in SF and they will be in SF next week, so it should be #1, or the producers arent doing their homework.

Anything that can get people to at least try a few craft beers will help the industry sustain its growth. I also liked that they showcased both craft brewers and brew pubs, not just one or the other. Also, that they focus on pairing foods with beers.

Yeah, I don't pretend to know the laws, but there are other places that sell bottles for both in house consumption or to go. Beer Revolution and Trappist Provisions, to name a few. I'm sure there's a standard license that allows both.

The show exceeded my expectations. My wife, who does not drink, thought is was entertaining. We both strained a few times to understand what they were saying.

What's not to like. Their wit was fine, comments seemed heartfelt. Yes the train was gimmicky but I still enjoyed it. Pacing of the show was well done, didn't feel rehearsed. Leaned about prison wine from a non poser. They ate some pepper I wouldn't even sniff.

I've no doubt I'd enjoy sharing a brew with them.
More likely to try a BrewDog brew now than before ; )
    They called out Alpine.
    cheers

YES! This scene made the show worthwhile. I'm thinking it was a Belgian strong ale.

I watched last night with skepticism afer reading some of the rants. The show was mostly enjoyable and only slightly annoying. I will watch again.

i think i heard the words "nipple" and "virgin" more than "beer". f this show, i would have a beer with anyone, that's no metric.
