I've seen a couple others talk about it, so I figured I'd start the thread. Money's getting tight at the end of the year. Most of us need to save up for holiday gifts and travel expenses. For me that means trying out less new beers and sticking to my favorite mainstays. This winter, my fridge is going to be continually stocked with these delicious badboys:

    1) Bell's Expedition Stout
    2) Founder's Imperial Stout
    3) Founder's Breakfast Stout
    4) The Brew Kettle White Rajah
    5) Stone Gotterdammerung (while supplies last)
    and 6) Weyerbacher Double Simcoe

So, what are you other advocates stocking up on this holiday season?

I'm planning to start picking up some Narwhal, Old Raspy, and Brooklyn BCS when it hits. Maybe more Insanity. I see my biggest beer purchases in the coming months being BCBS and any variants I can find.

Money gets tight around the end of the year because that is when all the great beers come out and cause me to go broke. Brown Shugga, Backwoods Bastard, Founders Breakfast Stout, Expedition, Java Stout, Third Coast Old Ale. Somehow Short's manages to drop a new release nearly every two weeks which eats up even more of my paycheck.

Damn you, Sierra Nevada for Narwhal! Damn you! But that's okay, I do want to do a side-by-side of FBS and Narwhal, so I guess I can still get somma dat.

@Donco: DFH is brewing World Wide Stout again?

Let's see. I'll be going through a case or two of
    Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen
    and
    Augustiner Oktoberfestbier
    before I move onto
    Schlenkerla Ur-Bock.
Then when it really gets cold I'll move onto the likes of
    Andechs doppelbock,
    Schlenkerla Eiche,
    and some
    homebrewed double stout.
I'll also certainly pick up some pricey bottles of local as well as american RISs and barleywines like
    Birrificio Italiano's Sparrow Pit,
but I won't be buying these by the case.

I just picked up a 6er of Third Coast Old Ale, which is just the beginning of the Barleywines for me. I can't wait to crack into my first year old Third Coast tonight!

Have a lil one on the way and thus have a) no money and b) need to drink down my cellar so that we actually have a usable closet again. Thus, I'll be drinking my nicely-aged Founders Curmudgeon, BCBS, Old Stock Ale, and a few aged 'special bottles' (Bernardus Christmas, Dissident, Rye-on-Rye, etc) while homebrewing and buying some cheaper 'regular' beers like Boulevard Nutcracker and Bully! Porter, Warsteiner Dunkel, half-liters of Salvator, and Celebration.

I'm not really a stout guy. I'll probably just buy a case or two of whatever seasonal Sierra Nevada comes out with in the winter...

Maybe pick up a couple big Quads to share with the wife around the holidays.

I've already got some Narwhal, FBS, Zhukov, Stone Espresso IRS and a WootStout. I'll be looking for some Velvet Merkin when it makes it here also.

Brooklyn is no longer going to make Black Chocolate stout, if I'm not mistaken.
