Drinking some Mexican cake one night. Just poured it into my glass. Picked up the empty bottle to look at it and in the process hit my glass...spilling it all over the table and my phone. Didn't ruin my phone but it defiently made for one sticky mess.

Hopefully the scars will be a reminder to carry your beer from the bottom from now on. Never trust a cardboard beer box/holder. NEVER!

I dropped two Dark Lords this year. Made it out of the fairgrounds.. made it onto the shuttle.. made it off of the shuttle.. made it through the hotel parking lot.. At the very last possible second when I'm getting ready to set them down and open my trunk. Next thing you know there are bottles on the ground. Of course it's the DL's that break, not my Tiberian Inquisitors.

You are right. I will never trust a cardboard 4pk holder again. It kind of reminds me of an old saying never trust a fart.

Sitting around the fire after the Festival here in Portland in June, we had a KBS nitecap in a pair of Westy XII glasses. As my drunk ass sat down in my plastic Adirondack chair with the glass on the arm, the nearly full limited edition chalice toppled and shattered on the fieldstone. It was my friend's KBS in my Westy glass. Embarrassment x 2.

I have a lot of good beers sitting on the top shelf of my closet. I live in earthquake country. I should probably move those to the ground level tonight. Thanks for starting this thread.

I would have paid money to see that old lady try to drink the whole bottle.

When I used to work at a fairly large liquor store, 90 cases of Cavit Pinot Grigio fell onto and crushed the craft beer overstock full of bombers of everything from Fantome to BCBCS. There was literally a river of booze flowing out the back door for a few minutes. I still haven't recovered.

Hill Farmstead brews like to try and escape my clutches as soon as I pop the top. Lokes on them, I'm not too proud to put my mouth on the bottle.

I haven't lost anything too rare yet, but I did drop a full snifter of tilquin gueuze and watched it shatter on the side of the pot I had been making a chicken stock in for about five hours. Was more upset about the stock than the beer, though. I also had a bcbs bottle neck shatter when I tried to pry the cap off.

Just spilled a lost abbey and it was only 2/3 done. Made me almost want to cry since it was tasting so good and it was over 10 dollars. Have this ever happened to you?

Friend dropped 2 bottles of Permanent Funeral.

One was for me, and one was for a trade.

    I was very sad

Almost. I was taking a photo of my Westy 12 for another thread here, and then from the corner of my eye saw that it was rolling off the platform, and then fell a couple of feet onto a dirt patch. I thought the bottle was a goner, luckily it only got nicked, so I was able to enjoy the contents a few minutes later.

My friend, who is back in school full time and working full time while living in his parent's basement, bought me a 2012 bottle of Weyerbacher Riserva for my birthday. It fell off the table and smashed on the patio, unopened. I really felt horrible since I know he has no money and spent $27 on it, only to see it wasted.

Fellow BA brought some beers to trade with me in Paris, got all the way into the bottleshop, put his bag down and a minute later it fell of the table. Of the 6 beers in the bag, the one that broke was a BA Kopi Speedway...it smelled so fucking good.

Such is life, I certainly didn't "want to cry", but it was a shame. Few beers are as good as they smell so that is what I tell myself in regards to that accident.

I came back to Michigan this August from China on a 2 week vacation. I found one last sixer of third coast old ale, only to have the bottom of the six pack fall out and all my beers shatter on the ground.

The only beer I've ever spilled was a Solo cup full of Coors Light while playing beer pong. It was a party foul, no crying. Instead I had to take a shot.
