As promised...good times were had by all. After the votes were counted the beers were ranked as follows:
    1 - Rare, 2 - Chocolate Rain, 3 - Black Tuesday, 4 - 50/50 Rittenhouse Rye,
    5 - Oil of Aphrodite, 6 - 50/50 Old Fitz

Rare, Huna, 2012 CR, Oil, 50/50 Old fitz, 50/50 R rye, not pictured 2011 BT; This might be better in the "recent tasting" post, and this was yesterday.... but I don't lurk there quite as much as I do here.

Look out Heady, you got some local competition. This is a fine fine beer, good luck to Grateful Hands for continued success in the future.

    Cheers!

I didn't have internet access to post at the time, but this is from my weekend in Anchorage:

NITRO Monk's Mistress at Midnight Sun. Killer.

Followed up with my beloved Moscow Russian Imperial Stout, which they amazingly had on tap as well. What an awesome visit to my favorite Alaskan brewery.

Bready deliciousness along with a good bitterness, some herbal hops and a dry finish. This is why I love German lager beers. They may come from a large industrial brewery, they may be comparably cheap, yet they're delicious. Affordable and delicious, it's quite the concept.

Almost forgot: before leaving Anchorage, I stopped at Moose's Tooth for beer and pizza.

Their Fairweather IPA. It was really surprisingly VERY good. I didn't expect such an awesome IPA from such a little brewery.

    The pizza was excellent too.

I even got a six-pack of Fairweather IPA to take home, apparently available exclusively at the source.

Upright Saison du Cidre, a one-off blend they made just for auction at Brews for New Avenues in Portland. Awesome blend, wish I had more.

My bad pour...I am on an Old Chub kick. Love this straight from a chilled can, just poured it this time to get the colors. It is definitely a dark tea or whiskey color with a tan head. This is yummy thanks OB!!!

Deschutes Chasin' Freshies, what a unique and delicious Wet-Hop IPA. Between this and Fresh-Squeezed, Deschutes is on a roll when it comes to IPAs.
