I'm planning a vacation in January to Vermont. I would love to stop at Hill Farmstead, since during my last trip I couldn't make it. Does anyone know what beers to expect at that time? It would be the first week of January. Thanks!

You can expect it to be cold. Beyond that, no, no one knows.

I would guess that you can bank on several delicious hoppy offerings, hopefully more twilight of the idols, and maybe bottles of something you'll probably want to buy.

Also, BM him for an on-point Werner Herzog impersonation.

Our shitty roads actually improve during the Winter season when all the holes get filled in with snow and ice, while the snow piles up so high that the flatlanders can't possibly drive into the culverts.

Get yourself a good set of winter (snow) tires. All season radials don't cut it.

I'm coming up Thanksgiving and hoping a parka, an ice pick, a 4-wheel drive rental and a weeks worth of food will cut it. Or maybe I'll just pack a few flannels and fuck-it? Damn, this planning beer trips is always such a bitch. Aaaaaahhhhh!!!!!

Seriously though, should I wear red or blue flannel?

Both. Extra street cred. If don't have a beard, grow one; you won't be let into the state otherwise.

Flannel lined camo FTW in the NEK.

No one will know until basically the week before. Bring a gun, tire chains, blankets, and a ton of whiskey infused coffee if you plan on going then - NEK will have its way with you

I'm planning the same thing in late November. I'm used to driving in the icy north, but what's the crowd usually like at the brewery? Am I going to be waiting in line for six hours or anything like that?
