Anyone know when its expected to be released this year?

I was fumbling through my cellar last night and found a bottle from last year dated sometime in late September. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I think they're bottling it right now from their Instagram feed a few weeks back. Believe it usually drops Nov. 1st.

I love this beer fresh. No aging it this year!

Was last year's release 2 months? It sounds like they made more of it...

    Edit. Found this little blurb.

does this sell out quick at the brewery? BB is one of my favourite beers and i'd consider driving up to get a case.

I love this beer. I have to ask that you try it with 3 - 6 months on it. I think it hits it's 'prime' towards the thick/end of winter. Maybe its the weather... who knows. but a Backwoods on a cold March day is amazing.

This is by far my favorite Founders beer, period.

It's usually limited when it comes out in Nov. and then places catch up and it can be found on the shelf, instead of being handled behind a counter. No need to rush around for it, unless you live in a place where everyone snaps up beer like it's an investment.

It's a great beer fresh, but I like a little age on it myself. 6 months is good. A year is really nice. I've got around a 4 pack sitting from last year, with a 11/17 bottle date on it, and it's drinking well.

Simply can't beat the cooler weather, a fire in the outdoor fireplace, and sitting back with a BB.

Maybe its a semantics argument but 3-6 months is not what I would consider aging. I won't argue with what you have to say, having Backwoods Bastard in March is awesome, but slight improvement over the first few months is not enough to keep me from drinking this immediately after I purchase it. It is just that good and I refuse to sit on it.

its like a poor mans backwoods IMO... but I still love it... and it's much easier to get at this point... a side by side will be in order next month

Just my opinion, but I find it a little too boozy fresh. I think it really smoothes out with a year of aging.

This is how's it been the past month at my regular shop. I'll usually get a couple of singles, but know it's a matter of time before I can walk in and grab it off the shelf.

I always miss out on stashing this beer away. It's readily available, so I wait. Then POOF! It's gone. Same with Devil Dancer and Curmudgeon. Guess I better buy a case of BB right off the bat and hide it from myself! I finally stashed a 4-pack of FIS and it sure has aged WELL!
