New beers during GABF

    I heard yesterday that Cigar City and Sun King will be in stores during the week. Not sure what they will be bringing but I was told canned stuff. Anyone hear the same news? Any other possible breweries seeing distribution that week?

    Only got to try Jai Alai once and loved it. Same with Maduro Oatmeal Brown. Hope this is true.

    I heard that CCB was coming as a "feature" but haven't heard anything about Sun King. Anyone hear if Shorts is coming back this year?

    I saw that World of Beer has Jai Alai listed as upcoming on tap when I stopped in yesterday. Asked the waitress, they are tapping it the 10th. (also had Parabola on there and some others listed)

    Spoke with Short's yesterday. They're bringing 5 this year: Huma Lupa Licious, Nicie Spicie, Autumn Ale, Pandemonium Pale and Pontius Road Pilsner. Kegs of Huma Lupa and Soft Parade. They're trying to put together a few specialty releases too. Nothing's set in stone just yet.

    The "Cigar City in Denver stores" news was around last year and it didn't seem to ever come to fruition, although several places got kegs. Hopefully this year will be different.
    With Short's, I think we all appreciate the gesture but I still think everyone wishes that we got the zany beers that people know them for...not their normal 6-packs. I still see the 6-packs we got from Short's last year at several stores.

    To me it just seems odd to send flagships once a year when repeat buys don't matter.

    Could you possibly give me a list of the stores you've seen old Short's product at? We'd appreciate it.

    Also, the brewery appreciates your opinions and we may be able to ship some of our more limited releases next year, if we continue with this limited distribution run.

    I haven't checked in the past month or so, but I believe that six-packs of Huma and maybe Pandemonium were on the shelves of Lukas Liquors through the spring. If I remember correctly (and I can be wrong), it was $9.99/pack.

    I'd have to check and see if it's still there, but I recall seeing Shorts stuff at Mondo Vino pretty recently
