Anchor Steam is my typical go-to. What's the ideal cool-down/ freshen-up beer?

Pilsner of any kind always works for me. Paulaner and Urquell are my go to's. Low ABV and lighter than a traditional Lager... Alas those days will be behind us shortly.

?? Some pretty good American pilsners brewed these days. That's what I prefer too after getting hot & sweaty.

I like them too, (American Craft Pils) but for refreshment purposes they are usually a bit high on the abv scale for slamming two or three back to back while working around the house. For having a few at night I do like Lagunitas, Victory and sly fox a bunch. Lagunitas seems to be my favorite right now.

Deschutes River Ale, at 4%abv, is right up there on MY list.

Franconian Kellerbier. Low carbonation; served cool, by gravity from the wooden barrel; and ABV in the 4-5% range. Very easy to put away many, many of these on a warm day.

Should I be ashamed to say that Leinenkugel Summer Shandy is maybe the most refreshing beer I've ever had?

    (Flame suit is on)

Otherwise I'll go with Narragansett Summer Ale or Sly Fox Pikeland Pils.

No takers yet for Keystone Light? Best beer ice cold and watery. Nothing more refreshing than that. Although I love more authentic German pilsners, most have a dry finish thus not as refreshing and thirst quenching as a cheap American macro light beer.

Jever Pils goes down so fast and is so crisp.

When it's 100 outside, I will still have a Lite if one is around. This is the only beer my wife will drink so I usually keep a couple around.
