Thornbridge Kill Your Darlings - this is a Vienna lager but it tastes remarkably like a bitter to me.

Enjoying this on rainy cold day after eating a Brunch consisted of A slow smoked pork steak that soaked up a custom rub I prescribed it and a side of Jasmine rice from Vietnam. Un*earthly ,,,a Perfect way to describe how it will Be for me Seeing Nine Inch Nails tonight live for my first time ever after being a fan of their music for over 20 years.[IMG]

I'm having a Landsort Lager from Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri, a microbrewed pale lager. Brewed with pilsner and caramel malt and German and Czech hops, 5.3% abv. The blurb on the label says it's a pale, traditional Swedish lager which I can agree with. It's rather sweet, yet it balances the sweetness with a good bitterness. It falls nicely into the Helles lager-Dortmunder lager twilight zone which most well made Swedish Export lagers tend to fall into, sweet yet not overly sweet, bitter yet not pilsner bitter, with hoppy notes from continental hops. I commend Nynäshamn for producing a very clean lager beer, it is common for Swedish craft brewed lagers to have a distinct yeastiness that makes you think of an ale rather than a lager beer, but this one is really clean and the flavor comes from the malt and the hops rather than the yeast.
