Damn good unfiltered Pilsner! Very well balanced and nicely robust. Just all around delicious stuff for the style.


Incredible. Not review hype level IMO, but that's all gravy. Deeeep complexity of dark/roasted malt flavors with tons of barrel complexity(vanilla, toffee, bourbon etc) that is very balanced. A bit of dark fruits and licorice tag along. Fantastic.


Good Dubbel. Very well carbonated which was nice to see. A little too fruity than what I wanted to see, but its nicely enjoyable.

Dirtwolf is finally here. Victory took away my beloved Hop Wallop and put this in it's stead. I can live with that as this is a flawless DIPA. Pine, citrus, tropical fruit on a honey sweet malt. There is nary a trace of alcohol on the nose or on the palate. Bright, golden color and exceptionally smooth. Hop spice shows itself too for a vital taste of tremendous hop character. ​

Hey, I took an art class once in elementary school.. What can I say, I'm a natural.

 

I have a very strong feeling that this is going to be my pumpkin beer of the year. I prefer this to Cigar City's Good Gourd for sure. So much cinnamon and nutmeg, with sweet potato-like breadiness. Helluva beer.

 

At Mikkeller Bar SF tonight. I started with Lervig Rye IPA, which was hoppy and sharp with rye flavor and I really liked it. My buddy had a Strubbe Ichtegem's Grand Cru, in the background.



And then had a Mikkeller Texas Ranger chipotle porter aged in an Eagle Rare bourbon barrel



The Texas Ranger really doesn't have a lot of heat as mentioned earlier today, but the BA version has more body and a little more interesting flavor. Enjoyable.

 

love this beer for sentimental reasons and because it's a fucking great imperial stout. highly underrated i think

Been to that DFH before, it sort of looks like a TGI Fridays on the inside. No? Had the 75 minute there, it was the best tap IMO.

Incredible porter, I really should buy this more often. Totally top class stuff.


Nice and pleasant pumpkin ale, my opinion is the same as last year. No hate at all, its really drinkable and nicely balanced.
