Every now and then you find a beer priced somewhere in the hilarious range. It happens to everyone but most of these incidents are transient. There are a few beers, though, which just refuse to ever price reasonably and make you laugh every time you see their sticker price.

Which beer's prices don't pass your laugh test and how much are you seeing them tagged at?

Anything from Nebraska Brewing Company. I don't know if it's laughable expensive, but it's like $25-30 for 750ml bottle. I have yet to see them on any rankings here.

    I don't think many deserve a price higher than 5$ a bottle.

A 375mL of Red Poppy for around $17 comes to mind.

Rogue, even two miles from the brewery it's 30-40% higher than other comparable or even better beer
    (except on dock sale days)

Don't know what Wootstout was in your areas but, seeing a stone at $24.99 seemed laughable.

This is one store. The thread is 'consistently overpriced'.

My answer is easy rider from terrapin. Its atleast 9$ per 4pk everywhere i've ever seen it. Its good, but its a session ale and is marketed as so. Its way overpriced for what it is. Think about a store selling session beers in 12pks and you see dales pale for under 20$, or terrapin recreationale for 16$, and then easy rider for 28-31.50$. It doesn't come in 12 pks but thats what it would cost. I mean c'mon.

Maine Beer Company. Great beer, but only available in like 19 oz. bottles for $8-$9 bucks.

12 oz longneck, steiner or vichi bottle, for special bottles I understand that the price is higher. In our family brewery in belgium our Bottle, cap and label cost more than the beer itself

I'm curious as to why beer in Belgium and Germany is so much cheaper than in the US. I'm under the impression that it has a lot to do with the three tier regulations driving up costs here.

I know in Seattle there is a "Sin" tax on Cigs and beer and not 100% on what else. (gas has one but not called Sin) Also forget exact amounts. So anybody with a better brain chime in now.

There's a place around here called Bier Station. Well, they introduced a "new" consept involving a beer store, but with taps & a bar. Crazy right? The bottles that you'd want to buy are marked up from what I've noticed 20-30% higher than other stores, whether you drink it there or take it to go. I know this because I accidently bought a Pardebloem for $17.99.
