Is so desired in trades and so underrated? I personally like some of their beers and every time I have traded people always want JK rare or not and I always have gotten 90+ rated beers for them $4$ or not. I just don't understand.

I was just wondering more why they are rated so low, everyone wants it, they make great beers, you would assume the rating would be higher.

No single JK beer has more than 22 reviews. At least at the time I post this. This tells me it's not that well known or not many BA's are reviewing it.

I don't want their beers. So not everyone wants them!

Would you care to elaborate as to why you don't want any JK beers?

Let me rephrase, when I post ISO:FT they always ask for JK in return weather it is normals or boxers or mad meg now miekeller i have multiple ppl ask so I would say that many not everyone are willing to trade for them.

Because there's too much beer out there to care about everyone's locals. Besides, random styles with farmhouse yeast? Yikes, sounds awful to me.

    I can't even parse this.

Just curious, which Jester King beers have you actually tried?

Just Black Metal, wasn't a fan. But I haven't ever tried a saison I've liked, so now that they've switched to "all farmhouse" I'm pretty certain I won't like any of them.

Regardless, it doesn't matter, I just wanted to counter OP's hyperbole for no real reason.

If it was Farmhouse Black Metal, I would agree, I'm not a huge fan. The Farmhouse version of Wytchmaker is better than the original and the Farmhouse yeast works fine in the sours IMO ( Das Wunderkind and Boxer's Revenge).

Judging a beer based on a description is just ridiculous. I'm not a huge fan of Belgian yeast beers, and the thought of a Belgian Barley Wine doesn't really appeal to me, but I bet I would enjoy a bottle of M just like everyone else (not saying JK is anywhere near M, just that it's a bit odd to base your opinion of a beer on anything but taste).

And while yes, the OP was being hyperbolic, I would agree that there are a surprisingly large number of people who seek out Jester King beers despite there reputation/ratings being fairly limited.

    Nope, regular.

No, it's not. If I've never liked any beer I've ever had that was made with saison yeast, expecting that trend to continue is perfectly reasonable.

    Now who's being hyperbolic?

Someone in this thread rated Saison du BUFF and Arthur 5 stars on Untappd, and of the 20 something Saisons they have reviewed almost half got 4 stars.

Hint: It wasn't me, BruceBruce, icetrauma or xpimptasticx

Saison du BUFF shouldn't be 5 stars, actually, looking at my check-in it should be 4. Regardless, 1 out of 26 beers being given my "worth seeking out" rating is bad enough to back up claim.

I'm a bit curious as to why my saying "I'm not interested in Jester King beers" caused you to stalk me, but whatever.

lol, I didn't stalk you, I was trying to get to your ratings page since I found it hard to believe there isn't a single saison you have ever liked, there isn't a good way to get to those pages on the new forum, so I end up on your old profile page where you had a link.

If you don't want people to read something, and you consider doing so stalking, it probably shouldn't be in your public profile.

Honestly I have no real interest in you liking JK beers or not, I just am a bit curious why you came into the Southwest forum and then complained about our beers and then more or less insulted the OP.

Going through the effort is extremely weird, in my mind. I put that there for BIFs/extras, that you care enough to dig through my profile is bizarre.

I use the "What's New" page and it doesn't filter. I didn't even notice what forum this was in.

Not weird. Greatness seeing you get called out, squirm and justify, and then deflect to "stalking" claim. Why troll SW anyways?
