We see many 375ml bottles with one bottle limits at bottleshops in SoCal, so I guess an one 12 oz. bottle limit on highly desirable beers wouldn't be out of the norm for me.

Yesterday, I received a bottle of Oracle along with other beers. I didn't realize they had one bottle limits. It's in the fridge ready to be cracked open tonight...

I still think one bottle KBS is ridiculous.

Hell with it- just auction it off the beer to the highest bidder
    Let capitalism rule!

I do the same when it comes to these beers. As much as I enjoy many of them, I really do not want to keep driving the machine that started this. I tend to stick with the beers that I can get readily. I'll certainly never be a "truck chaser". I enjoy good beer, but it's just not worth that level of effort when I can buy many other really good beers easily.

I could agree with the limit. I found some Double Dose today and the store had only received 1 case. It's a big store by the way. LET EVERYONE ENJOY

Absolutely.. completely agree. Would you like a bottle or not? If you want it.. take your bottle, if not.. go somewhere else and stop complaining. But have a great day! :-D

I think this is going to get worse. Even with bottle limits, a lot of seasonal or limited release beers sell out within hours after posting on social media. Picking some up beers after work no longer works!

They should have a "Worthiness Card" (sorta like an ID) and then card everyone that comes in to make sure they are worthy and have sufficient "appreciation" of the beer before allowing them the sacred privilege of purchasing a single bottle.

Unreasonable if it is a brewery only release.

This is when you bring the people you know who don't drink beer to come along and help you out then buy them pizza.

The way I see it, I have my fiancee to help me here if I would ever come upon this situation. Two seperate transations, no need for just one, but two.

No...silly concept IMHO. No beer is that much better than the other three versions of the style sitting on the shelf.

If I was only satisfied with shelf Stouts I would have missed quite a bit. No Bourbon County and the variants here, no Bruery brewery only releases, no Eclipse. No Prairie Bomb, no Mexican Cake. The shelf BA selection is BA Boris and Nebraska stuff, no thanks, then Ten Fidy and Siberian Nights. I would have missed Pliny, Bling Pig, Alpine stuff, Kern Citra, HT etc. There's a difference in methods , and I don't chase trucks, but I do want to try the best from different regions if I can.

Of course store owners should have the right.

As for the "I'm not going to the store to buy one bottle"
Would you only be buying that one 4 or 6 pack if you had the option? That still seems like a waste of a trip to me.
I buy at least a case worth each time I beer-shop, so that I don't have to worry for a week or two.
So all a one-bottle limit would mean for me, is "Awesome, glad I'm getting to try this. Now what am I gonna stock the fridge with?"
