Not surprised. Seriously awesome beer. Ecstatic it's year round.

They earned that medal. I really liked the minor tweaks they did to the 2nd Anniv recipe for this one. It's always going to have a space in my fridge.

I had one yesterday and it was excellent. I'm glad it will be year round.

How does it compare to Kiwi Rising?

I remember Kiwi being a bit more tropical/Froot Loopy than Mass Rising. Both great beers.

On the morning drive it made it to main stream news. I think I was listening to WBZ or the Sports Hub and they announced JA won the "best ale" Not all together correct but the exposure should be awesome.

Mass Rising is good. I actually like the bitterness of 2nd Anni a little better. But that's just my tastes. MR is just a tweak recipe of 2nd Anni. Kiwi is ridiculous though can't wait

It was first on the raidio yesterday afternoon and the announcer says something like "Jack's Abby is know for making quality ales" it then immediately cuts to the interview where the next words are Sam saying "We make only lagers"

We had a good a laugh, but we are used to this by now. Mainly we were just excited to be on the radio, it was a great experience.

Well deserved. As a native San Diegan I can't tell you what a pleasant surprise it's been to find world class hoppy beer in New England, with Jack's Abby's offerings being up there with any beer in the world!

I heard this too, and a bit later it was followed by the question what are hops?
    Nice work guys

I enjoyed hearing it on the radio. Even with the mis spoken words. Awesome to have world class beer from our home state

I know this is unrelated to Mass Rising, but I figured there doesn't need to be 3 threads for the same brewery on the front page.

Has anyone had Baby Maker yet? Really curious how this came out. Need to decide whether or not i'll accidentally find myself in their neighborhood next week.

If you like bourbon barrel-aged offerings I'd definitely pick up some Baby Maker. Lots of bourbon, yet still has some lager qualities. Really tasty, I reviewed it if you want more details.

Had Baby Maker last night. Its a monster! Huge bourbon characteristics. JA is knocking it outta the park on their barrel aged stuff. The 3 I've tasted are all great beers. Framinghammer, Sour Time, and Baby Maker

Also when I was there I parked right in front of their barrel room. I've been there 5 or 6 times and never really noticed. I know BAFH has to be in there then I heard they are doing a wine barrel lager. But they must have a few secrets on the way!

Had Baby Maker last night as well. 100% agree with everything from MVP above, Huge bourbon and a real sipper. May have to grab a few more tonight, I didnt want to go too crazy at first with the price tag but after opening one I can say its well worth it
