I get it, Great is awesome. But damn, people are acting like it cures cancer. Since when does a brewery only six pack trade like a >200 bottle one off collab between Hill Farmstead and Cantillon? 2 greats for BCBVS? 2 for Rare? 2 for Mimosa? Give me a break. And no this isn't just a Midwest BA trying to devalue your West Coast whalez. I just think it is ridiculous.

when it only gets released every 3-4 years?

It's actually a little humorous that you use 10,000 bottle, distributed Goose Island releases as your examples of beers that Great "obviously" shoudn't be able to pull.

Most FT posts in the trade forum are completely lopsided and ridiculous these days. Great is in high demand right now so those who have bottles for trade are looking to maximize it's value. This happens with pretty much every big/hyped release. If they are asking for too much the FTs will go unanswered.

I hate to cut down on your self esteem, but what you (or anyone else) thinks of the value of the beer does not matter. The crickets will decide on the value.

Would it be better if the beer had a bottle count of 13,000 and available on the shelf?

I'm surprised how much it's pulling in myself. That being said, I'm not mad or anything about it. I did see the Facebook post that day by Alpine before they opened. I regret not driving to San Diego and picking up a 6-pack.

This can be said about any limited release, I don't know why you are calling out the Great ISOs in particular.

Great was the Betty Page of Ba Barley wines before your famed King Henry, and to be honest the 09 Great is still one of my favorite Ba Barley wines.

Does this mean the West Coast BA's should now equally react with a "Can we relax with...." Thread every time a mid west instawhale drops on the boards?

OP, should I be the one that points out if Great were in 22 oz bottles, it would would be somewhere in the sub 900 bottle range? Nah, that would be a cheap shot.
