I have recently heard of these guys and they seem to be opening shop this week. Also they're having a membership like The Bruery. $300 gets you 10 bottles with other benefits. Before I jump the gun and do it, I want to ask if anyone have had their beers before and if this membership is worth getting. Are their beers any good? Cheers.
They haven't released a single beer to my knowledge. i.e. the epitome of everything wrong with the brewery scene.
City Beer Store is doing a launch party on Thursday. Maybe you could wait to write them off until after someone has had a chance to taste their beer. They have had a lot of buildup but they are making beers that take awhile and have been pretty much upfront about their plans. I'm not springing for a membership in anything until I sample the goods, but I am not sure that the Rare Barrel epitomizes everything -- or anything -- wrong with the brewery scene.
I've had the base sour and a raspberry sour they are going to release. I can't remember the names of them but the raspberry sour was awesome

I only joined in hopes of being able to land a Toppling Goliath beer with whatever they are releasing.
I think there will be plenty of empties of Rare Barrel being deposited at Final Gravity as soon as they bottle.
