My sister asked me today if there are any breweries/taprooms here in the Twin Cities that will do wedding receptions. I think I read somewhere that 612 Brew did, and there is another brewery that I can't think of. Any help on the topic would be most appreciated. Recommendations to craft beer bars/restaurants would be good too.

Surly I believe has already said they will have this service available, once the new brewery is finished.

I'd check with the ones your interested in. Check on policies also.....pretty sure the only alcohol that can be served there would be their beer. Not a problem for us BA's but maybe for those wanting a cocktail or a champagne toast.

Our new brewpub, Day Block Brewing Company, is located in the same building as the Day Block Event Center on Washington Ave in Minneapolis. They do weddings almost every weekend all year long. Check out dayblock.com for open dates. We are planning on being open by early December this year, so if the wedding is next year we should be able to host it if the date is open. As a brewpub, we're uncertain of the laws allowing us to serve beer to the 2nd floor, but we will be looking into that very soon.

    Cheers,

Yeah my sister's wedding will probably be about this time next year.

Not quite the metro but we have had (and already have booked for next year) a number of weddings/receptions. Lots of space, a unique setting and it's WI, so you can bring in what you like. We have plenty of tasty beer and can even brew a "Brewlywed" beer for the new bride and groom if they like. I think the most we've had for an event out here is about +/- 160 people.
Let me know if there's interest - come out next weekend for our open Tap Room (SAT/SUN 3-7 each day) to check it out if you haven't been here.

    Cheers,

    FarmerD

Are you going to be open through Thanksgiving? The whole family goes to Menominee to get a Christmas tree Thanksgiving weekend, so perhaps we can make a detour to check the place out.

I should divorce my wife just so we can get remarried at the Brewfarm. She'd be down with it.

Yup, we're open year-'round and will be open FRI/SAT/SUN -- NOV 29-30 and DEC 1 from 3-7 each day. Come on out!

Umm, I believe they call it the "renewing of the vows" - has a little better ring to to it, eh?
    We do those too!
    Beer!

Funny you should mention this, Dave... A certain someone and I have been toying with the idea of pursuing this avenue within the next year or so... Will be in touch.

    Evan-

Ryan is already married. Plus, it's only legal in MN, not WI. Lol

For real, though, I'm excited for you two. Congrats on thinking of the next step. Does that mean you will be coming back to mn soon?!?

That's what happens when I spend a month and a half working seven tens... I fall out of the loop on everything.
