    I'm having a Sam Adams Octoberfest. I haven't really been a huge fan of Marzens to this point, but I am really liking this beer.

    It had soda like carbonation/mouthfeel, I didn't get ANY vanilla, oak or bourbon, it was like drinking over extracted coffee with some rubbing alcohol poured in it..as much as everyone on here says its this amazing brew I just didn't have that experience. I will just assume that it was a bad bottle ? and try it again when I can, I'm just not going to seek it out as I did before this.

    oh well, on to other brews, like this torpedo I'm drinking, hoooooo-smokies is this one good :slight_smile:

    Have a tennis match, but after that, I'm going to crack open an Enjoy By, then a 2012 Southern Tier Oat. I was shocked how insane that beer was with a year on it.

    beer run. (by the way, at the finish line Goose Island 312) was offered for free for adults.

    Just checked my FG for the first time on my first homebrew. Coming along nicely, looks and smells great, so having a couple to celebrate.

    This is a decent dark lager BTW.
