Double Dose rated higher than Enjoy By?

double dose is fantastic. Enjoy By is an amazing DIPA. to each their own. For me, I think double dose really trumps enjoy by.

 

After reading this, I went to check on how I reviewed them and they came out equal for me (@4.4). Interesting. These are two great but different IPA's.

 

Love them both and would say they are neck and neck. I have not seen any Double Dose left here in coastal NH. Would certainly buy it if I see it. Bought 4 bombers of Enjoy By last night.

 

I'm still stuck at work, but according to my UPS tracking notification, I'll be able to decide for myself this weekend. Thanks again Tom!

 

i got a 4 pack of double dose already and a bomber of the enjoy by. at around the same $ per oz. its really a toss up. however i have a case of heady in the fridge so no sense in buying more of either when i have the best DIPA (arguably) in the fridge.

 

I wonder if this beer will find its way to NC, since Otter Creek/Wolavers is brewing it. Anyone have any distribution info?

 

It was pretty awesome having Double Dose, Enjoy By, and DirtWolf all hitting within a few weeks of each other.

 

Haven't had enjoy by yet but double dose was a bit of a letdown for me

 

I'm trying to figure you what you meant. I'm looking at the Top 250 List and EB rings in at #52 and DD is at #148. Both average at 98, but EB has significantly more reviews. By this metric, EB is rated A LOT higher than DD.

Had Just Outstanding, DD and EB in the same week. EB was a step behind both.

 

I'm no homer I think a lot of Lawson's dipas are a let down. Double sunshine at its best is amazing but soso batches aren't abnormal .

 

I'd love to see the rating if Lawson's wasn't attached to this beer.

I've never had it, I'd just like to see for arguments' sake.

 

Definitely, I'd have a hard time giving it a 4 even, most Of his other dipas if not all are better than this

 

Agree with the above about blind tasting Double Dose. I've got more bottles of it to go back to but my initial impression was that it's a very pleasant, balanced DIPA but without the character of Enjoy By. Enjoy By just seems to pop more to me. I enjoyed Lawson's Kiwi much more than Double Dose ...

I may have to do a blind tasting this weekend. I love both, but this batch of EB is off the charts. I'm drinking one now as matter of fact. I'd buy both all day...hard to choose.

 

Dirtwolf is great but an entire level below enjoy by and double dose. not even close
