Hello fellow BAs. I am starting this thread to see what your thoughts about Devil Canyon's Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine are. The only reviews here on the sight are of the old version of the beer (around 16% ABV). The newly bottled version is at 14%, and appears to have no reviews from what I can find. My work got a few cases of the beer, and it has hand-written bottle numbers... ___/700. My dad had this beer and said it is his favorite beer. I bought 2, and have yet to pop one of them open. Has anyone had this newer batch? What are your thoughts? My work is selling them at a ridiculously low price, so wondering if anyone has had this so I can decide whether to buy more or not. Cheers!
I still haven't seen them around here and I work across the street from the brewery, literally. Dammit I've been waiting for bottles for a lonnggg time. It's an alright beer on tap, interested in the bottle very much tho!
Reminds me of backwoods bastard, seriously, had Em side by side to be sure, and they are not far off in flavor profile retrospect. Great bourbon flavor, looking forward to aging a few bottles.
