Wanted to get input on what you thought of the new recipe they used. I loved last years version this version is just as aggressive and my favorite beer to come out of Indeed!

I haven't seen it yet. What store did you find it at?

Just cracked open a bottle. Got mine at Firkins on Saturday morning. Its good, nothing mind blowing. Lots of citrus. 11.5% is hidden really well. I can't compare it to last year since I never had that version. Tastes like an imperial Midnight Ryder.

I picked up a bottle last week. Haven't opened it yet, but imperial midnight Ryder sounds great to me

Just wish the dark malts would come through more like it does in Midnight Ryder. If you close your eyes (or were blind) you would think it was just a Double IPA. A solid IIPA that is.

Ah, the chocolate malt character in Ryder is a definite perk for me. Nevertheless, Haywire should be great in its own way.

I checked a couple of spots near my place with no luck. Hopefully tomorrow i can find one. I did take home a NICE haul tonight though.

This years Haywire seems to be roastier than my recollection of last years version. But, it is also super hoppy. Still my favorite Indeed beer.

How much are folks seeing this for? North Loop had it for like $13, I think.

Holy shit. I really like Midnight Ryder so was out looking for this, thought the place I saw it at was crazy @ $13.99. WTF? For a local beer? Screw that, guess I won't be trying this one.

Your loss. This is a labor intensive beer, beyond fairly priced.

Hate to draw the comparison price wise but this is ~40% more expensive than BCBS (I know, totally different beers). Its actually cheaper on tap than in the bottle though. Grab a pint and skip the liquor store because this is a delicious beer.

Well, wow, but $14 for a Double American Black Ale is a price point I've never seen before. When something is more expensive than pretty much everything else in that category, I'd call that an outlier. Maybe my English isn't so good!

But if you think it's fair, more for you.
