I am an ipa guy. Can't get enough hops. Like to try a really good porter. What is a must try porter that is easy to get. I'm in the New England area. Thanks and cheers.

Smuttynose robust porter, mayflower porter and founder's porter would be a great start.

Founders Porter is simply one of the best beers I've ever tried.

I'll agree with the Founders suggestions.

Victory at Sea is awesome too.

I also like Edmund Fitzgerald from Great Lakes, and Dead Reckoning from Troegs (which is a fall seasonal). Not sure if you get either of those breweries in your area.

Good Porters that are relatively close to you:
    - Wormtown Pro-Am Porter
    - BBC Coffee Porter or their Drayman Porter
    - Maine Beer King Titus
    - White Birch Our Humble Porter (surprisingly good)

Not close but you should be able to easily get them:
    - Founders is world class
    - Ballast Point Victory at Sea is also fantastic
    - Evil Twin Lil B

Lots of great examples above. You're perhaps not too far from Hill Farmstead. Get thee some Everett.

Edmund Fitz is a great porter but it's not really available around the NE area.

I have a vote for the Zywiec Polish Porter. I is full bodied with a lot of roasted malt but has a very big carmel undertone to it. It is usually only $4 bucks for the 15oz bottle.

I would add otter creek stovepipe porter and that would round out my favorite list

I need to make a trip to blue lobster brewery. I've heard great things about the brewery.
