I'm more shocked Pliny is in store only, but HT isn't? I wonder what the reasoning for that is.

Freddy is somewhat limited in what he can do with Pliny, because messing with Russian River tends to get one's account with them eliminated. HT, on the other hand - pure whale, pure profit.

Thank you for the info! I overpaid, but I don't really care this time, I've been waiting to try this...tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day...Chicago Bears & HT!

Guess its still cheaper than flying out to the source. Did someone bring back a case or two from their trip to Vermont recently?

Oh come on people, Freddie is doing a great service to the craft beer community by providing beer to areas that otherwise have no access to that beer!

Glad to see Freddy pushing boundaries. I'll never forget when he looked me in the eyes and said "$32, I the only one that got it" for Firestone 13. I felt privileged to be worthy to purchase from him and I apologized profusely for all manner of imagined transgressions as I left the store. It was my honor.

And your basis for this is...? Just curious. Never had a bad transaction with him.

    1. He illegally resells beer that is not distributed here.
    2. He routinely lies to his "customers" about his current stock and prices.
    3. He gouges like a ************.
    4. He has mules attend local bottle releases, so he can resell them at his store for a ridiculous markup

He is generally a worthless, slimy loser.

Is it illegal in Cali? I know it's a state-by-state regulation.

But the guy's been in business for a while...I'm assuming someone is buying that product (me included, but clearly I can't stock up as much as local buyers). As for price gauging, yeah it definitely happens. I just ask myself if I really want that beer and can I realistically get it anywhere else. Same goes for the limited release stuff.

As long as you're cool buying IPA's from a shelf where it's 95 degrees in the summer, go to town bro

Yes, circumventing the three tier system is illegal everywhere except Washington, I suppose. I have no idea how he gets away with it.
