Ive had this many times and everytime i do i think " holy smokes this is great stuff, why dont i drink this more" ill tell you why, because i have to drive to mass to grab it!
Just sayin' i love this friggin beer! Great session beer and a lager to boot!
Now that its in six packs it just elevates its status even higher for me. In the world of over hopped, over done e beers, there is just something about this beer that is just perfect! Ok im done ranting! Thanks JA! Come to CT.

Where did you find it in six packs? I had some a few weeks ago, but they were from a March 2013 batch. I assume the 6 packs are much fresher?

Haven't been all that impressed with it so far - and I like simple yellow lagers and usually have some kind of drinkable lager in my fridge. So far for me, its been disjointed, lacks malt depth, and is inconsistent. I keep trying every so often though - and if I ever see six packs at the stores I shop at within the next couple weeks, I'll give it another poke.

But I am completely impressed with Peak Organic Fresh Cut Pils. After that, I look for imported lagers like Pilsner Urquell, St Pauli Girl, Radeberger, and Lowenbrau to fill my lager needs. Notch Pils is decent too. So Jabby has some improving to do to get into my lager rotation.

I was thinking about starting a thread like this, haven't seen one in this forum. I hope Jack's Abby knows how much we appreciate them. Can't wait for Kiwi Rising!

Very nice beer. Bough a six from Trader Joes this past weekend. I was planning on picking up some more. I feel Peak doesn't get enough credit.

I feel Jabby Brau has been different most of the times I've had it. It ranges for me from meh to pretty good. It's not my first pick when looking for something easy drinking. I enjoy Jack's Abby beer very much. While not bad, it's not one of my favorites. While not as low abv and not available outside of single bottles, The pro-am Pilsner was very good and I wish they brewed something more towards that end for a year round offering.

Completely agree, love this stuff, you've motivated me to go grab a sixer at lunch.

Seconded. I'd rather that than Jabby, which doesn't do much for me.

Completely agree about Jabby. However I have to disagree about the Fresh Cut Pils. FAR too hoppy for a Czech Pils. So much that I couldn't get past it to enjoy the malt. If I want something that hoppy, I'll go for an IPA. It certainly wasn't a BAD beer, it's dry-hopped well and the nose/flavor is excellent in the hop department. But when I want a good pils, this isn't what I'm focusing on.

Since you're in Mass, I've been able to get my hands on Praga, Wurzburger Pils, EKU Pils, Lammsbrau Organic Pils, Einbecker Pils, Weihenstephan Pils even fresh Czechvar I enjoy. For me personally, I think these are far better than Pilsner Urquell, St. Pauli Girl, Radeberger, and Lowenbrau.

Notch is also in my rotation, and Sunshine Pils/Summerfest when in season are fantastic for US brews.

Eh, as others have mentioned I'm not a huge fan of Jabby. Too inconsistent & messy for my tastes.

For my lager fixes I'd much rather have SN Summerfest & Troegs Sunshine in season, then mix it up with St Pauli Girl, Urquell, ST Eurotrash Pils (winter), Smutty Vunderbar in bottles, & I see Weihenstephaner Original on draft more often around town. Don't really see a lot of reason to bring Jabby into my lager spot frankly.

Completely forgot about Vunderbar. Especially now that it's in six packs. Although the last six pack I had was a bit off, not as crisp as usual, with a slightly muted hop presence. I don't blame Smuttynose though, it was about 5 - 6 months old.

I've also heard good things about Eurotrash, been meaning to pick that up.

The rare winter straight-up seasonal lager. Great after clearing a bunch of snow.

Sounds great, I'll have to pick up a six when it comes out soon. How'd you feel about Fresh Cut?

I too love this beer. I wish it made it to my local spots in RI.

Jabby is my favorite new session beer available in my part of the country. The very definition of drinkable.

I don't think that's the intention for this beer.

To me its the future model for american pils.

Tried a Jabby that I found from a six pack and I have to say it is much improved. Reminded me of what Smuttynose's Portsmouth Lager tasted like. If I try it again in a couple months and its still in the same range, I might look at it more often.
