An example of a rising tide floating all boats. Tried Limbo from Long Trail on tap yesterday and though it was excellent. I think the success of HT, Lawsons and HF has inspired them to improve and it shows (my theory).

I had it about 2 weeks ago. I was surprised at the offering. Finally a solid hoppy offering from Long Trail to attempt to compete with other VT brewers.

Anyone know distribution? Will it get out of VT? Looks like it is a new year round, so will it have same distribution as other year rounders?

The rep at Beervana said it will go out to their standard distro area.

There initial Brown Bag offering seemed to be the first step in this direction. It was solid and is now the American IPA in their Farmhouse IPA 12 packs. Currently only sold in VT.

I had it on draft at the NH craft beer fest on Saturday, it was phenomenal. Probably the best beer I had at the festival. Cant wait til December when it comes out in bottles.

It's on draft all over Vermont, nice option in locations where you can't get the big 3 Hop Gods of VT:slight_smile:

This beer makes me very happy. Long Trail is a brewery I have always loved and enjoy supporting. With this IPA it makes it even easier to love and support them. Now, if they would only brew a nice Czech Pils.....

the 'american ipa' in the 12 pack is Limbo?

The "American IPA" in the Vermont only Farmhouse IPA mixpack was the 1st of the Brown Bag draft only releases (released last fall). The American IPA and Limbo are different beers, but I think the American IPA and the positive response to it spurred Long Trail to go for more IPAs (hence VT only IPA mixpack and Limbo).

I work for a distributor in Connecticut. We are being told we will have it in early December. I am really looking foward to trying it. We have not gotten samples yet.

Awesome! Really a worthy IPA. Not a big 3 IPA from VT but still a solid offering. It will be a nice addition to the scene. It will cause me to buy Long Trail more often.

I'll be on he lookout in northern Fairfield county and New Haven county.

    They need a stout/porter in 12oz bottles.

A sessionable porter or stout would be welcomed as well. Their Imperial Porter is vastly underrated in my opinion. They did a coffee stout, draft only, a while back. I enjoyed that quite a bit as well. I'd like to see them try their hand at a milk stout.

Imperial Porter is off the shelves I think but I still saw the Coffee Stout. I thought those beers were being pulled and rebranded and I only saw the Coffee Stout and the Imp. Pumpkin on the shelf. Im not a huge fan of the winter seasonal (Hibernator) which is a weak Scotch Ale. Its not even as good as Narragansett's Porter which is their winter seasonal. Time for LT to replace Hibernator with a Porter/Stout as their winter seasonal.
