    Think Cigar City does a rum barrel aged Good Gourd called Good Gourd Almighty, maybe this hasn't been released yet. :astonished:

    Lakefront just made a pumpkin beer in brandy barrels with vanilla; its good too!

    Shipyard did one, Bourbon Barrel Aged Smashed Pumpkin it was good but there wasnt much pumpkin spice behind it anymore, replaced a lot by the bourbon flavor.

    I'll be honest, I haven't had a BA pumpkin beer that I've really liked. Hoping Good Gourd Almighty changes that.

    Alltech/Lexinton Brewing Company makes a pumpkin version of their Bourbon Barrel Ale. It's better than the original which isn't say a whole lot.

    Not technically pumpkin but Bruery's Bourbon Barrel Aged Autumn Maple is pretty damn tasty.

    Lake Front 25th Anniversary Imperial Pumpkin, It's aged in Brandy Barrels, I think Pumpkin and brandy go better together than bourbon. Wish more companies would do that combo.

    Granted I haven't had too too many, so my opinion here is subject to change, but for me barrel treatments do less for pumpkin beers than most other (commonly aged) styles. Which is odd, since it seems like a natural fit.

    Another vote for Almanac's Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine. I tried a few (edit: a few different pumpkin brews, that is) this season (Fermentation w/out Representation, Shipyard, Punkin, Pumpkick), and that was the first to make me think, "THIS is what a pumpkin beer should taste like!"

    Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine from Almanac. i just got it in the mail so i haven't tried it yet.


    50% ale brewed with pumpkins aged in brandy barrels
    50% ale brewed with spices
