Does anyone (conclusively) know if Olde Rabbit's Foot is being released this year or not? I've heard mixed responses throughout the last few months.

After talking to the brewers at Foothills at the BASC release this year it does not look promising.

Personally, I hope DR gets it together....cause to this day, they still have made the best barrel-aged beer to come out of this state.

Until then though....I wouldn't say no to Olde Trophy Foot (Hand of Enoch was pretty darn delicious)

I'd be up for any combination that included Wicked Weed.

I'm not going to speak for the three breweries involved since no one has said why they aren't doing it, but I don't think the issue is with Duck-Rabbit or their quality.

Olde Foot Weed? ....that doesn't sound like the most appealing beverage but I would definitely give it a whirl.

Every time I get a 6'er of Duck Rabbit, at least 2 of them are "off" in some way. I'm in no way local, but they clearly have QA/QC issues.

I really don't know...just seem some implied above they wanted Duck Rabbit out of the ORF....and I've heard some reports of off beers of their own (though I've not experienced that first hand yet, and will not assert this claim til I have real evidence). When I say DR needs to get their act together, that's more me speaking to my personal desire for them to develop in a direction that would allow them to do more exciting things here in NC. You know? Like brewing more and maybe bottling BA Baltic Porter, as opposed to worrying about if NYC and Philly gets Milk Stout. Of course, that's just my personal preference, and they have the right to develop in whatever direction they want.

For me...with how good DR's barrel-aged beers have been....I have a hard time thinking they should be excluded (cause lets not pretend the 'R' in ORF is the only brewery to deal with QC issues at any point)

Fact: The last batch of Olde Rabbit's foot was an amazing imperial stout.

Ok guys, I guess we need some clarity here. ORF will not come out in 2013. From foothills perspective, we weren't able to get any pappy barrels last year, foothills has always used pappy barrels for orf, so we weren't able to participate. Foothills usually rounds up everyone's beer, blends, bottles and sells it. Since we didn't do that this year, it simply didn't happen.. Doesn't mean it won't happen again... We love the guys from DR and OHB and enjoy working with them, so please no more rumors about brewer feuds, they just aren't happening. All of us have lots on plate, and it apparently wasn't in the cards this year. We are all great friends.
we do have some fun things going on though, look out for more in the coming weeks.
