What you don't understand though is the number of people that call/e-mail/tweet a store before it comes in. Regardless of whether it is announced or not.. I'm sorry, I like to see all sides of certain issues. But you are wrong about this particular one, if you want these beers... either buy it or don't. Don't bitch about it. That one case that is 6pks serves 4 people, personally.. I would rather serve more, whether it is 6, 12, or 24 people. Incredible how much incessant complaining there can be on this website sometimes.

I just wish all the new hipster beer geeks would find a new hobby so all this bottle limit and Cantillon on the shelf disappearance would stop . I miss the way the beer world was even 5-7 years ago.

If just 10% of the energy we all expend on the "injustice/justice" of bottle limits, pricing, availability went into working to change the antiquated and patently unjust system of laws that makes it illegal for your favorite brewery in some far-flung state to just set a price and ship you a 6pack of a limited beer whenever it's brewed, billing directly to your credit card on file (or any similar arrangement we expect as normal for just about any other items we want from manufacturers), we could all just stick to mocking those who would dare to drink a rauchbier from the wrong type of glass while we sip our now commonly available "rare" beers and slowly destroy our bodies.

Yeah I support limits. Places that get 1 case of rare, whether it be bomber or 4/6 pks, means more people can enjoy it. Imagine if you will, 1 case that has 4 - 6pks. Without limits, only 4 people would get it. With limits, 24 people can enjoy it. Maybe a bit off topic, but I am not a fan of lists or releases where it is first come first server. To many times, it is the same people lining up in these lines that do not have the responsiblity of life (as I experienced last year for BC, happen to be on vacation). I think there needs to be a fairer way of allowing a mix of people to experience good beer. Maybe a lottery type system, but even that has flaws.

I just called a little mom and pop in the small town over. They get a case a month in. When asked if I could buy more than one … they laughed out loud at me. If I had the money I could buy as much as I wanted. The whole suggestion was ludicrous to them. Hilarious. So maybe it's not the brewery… I don't know who is responsible for this little game but it needs to stop. Guess I found my new beer shop. Moving on.

Next the stores will open up the 12 oz bottles and divy up dixie cups for in store tastings.
This sounds extreme, but when I lived in MA, a store, upon receiving a shipment of just 2 bottles of a rare beer, told me they were not going to sell it, but save it for an in-store tasting where more could imbibe.

Honestly this is so un'Merican. I love beer releases where people rent Mexicans/mules on craigslist and bring their hot girlfriends who you know hate beer. And I hate limits. I say buy whatever you want, it's your money. However, I do not like hoarding beer or ebay/selling beer. Shit is not cool.

I think the two-bottle limit is a fair concession.

    Oh be serious.

No one, not even a mixed-up kid in tight pants and a nineteenth-century mustache, is so deluded as to mistake being a beer nerd with being cool.

I don't quite understand the brewing and financial dynamics that allow BCBS to be most everywhere in volume, but a big brewer like Founders trickle out their special releases. Like KBS, like, Hopslam. This was true before InBev took over too.

    It was?

I don't recall seeing BCBS all over the place in NYC until last year. Before that, it was just like either of the other beers you mentioned.
