It comes down to what you really like that effects what overpriced really is. Id gladly pay 15-20$ for a bottle of abyss at my local shop if available . kbs is around 120$ a case but Id jump on it if i can find it. Green flash west coast ipa is around 60$ a case and I avoid it now. At 45$ I bought it all the time. Um, I feel brew dog, green flash, hoppin frog, ballast point and Nebraska for sure have many overpriced beers. But, they all make some great beers that I still buy. Would I buy more beers from them more often if the price was lower? .....yes.

Yea I think dales being affordable around 8-10$ a six pack makes some forget about ten fidy or gunba being 14-16$ a 4 pack........

I agree about DFH. Seems to be overpriced compared to other stuff. I was filling a growler at my local beer store the other night and DFH 90minute was $5 more than almost all the others there, including Ithaca Flower Power and Southern Tier 2xIPA.

Hoppin' Frog. A lot of their bombers are $15 here in Kansas.

This (and the stupid-ass labels, as much as I hate to admit it) is the reason I have never tried Hoppin' Frog and am in no hurry to do so.

Someday I'm sure I will, but for now, there are just too many other options out there to take a flier on something that is $7.50 per 12 oz.

Dogfish Head definitely. It's pretty good but not worth $4-5 a bottle.

Come on folks, it's Rogue. They charge 11 dollars a six pack for their flagship beer. I wish they'd go out of business and stop taking shelf space for better breweries like Hop Valley, SOB, Double Mountain, etc.

Now that this one is back, I've changed my mind. I don't know what the most overpriced brewery is - I've never tried to buy one.

Dales, Old Chub, and Mama's Little Yella Pils are all like 10 bucks here so its strange that ten fidy and gubna are so much higher.

Southern Tier is my overall favorite brand, but I was in my local grocery store today and they jumped the 6 pack price from 8.99 to 10.29, that's a pretty decent increase for a working man! I don't know if it was the grocer, the distributor, or the brewery but it pissed me right off! If they sold 12 packs at the same price point as Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada I would probably get So Tier most of the time, but I often go for Sammy or Sierra because I can get a 12 pack of comparable quality for about 15 or 16 bucks compared to now 20 or more for 2 sixers of So Tier. Saranac is even a little cheaper than that, it's usually about 2 bucks less than Sammy or Sierra.

Yuengling is a good "bar" beer but I don't generally buy it for home but if craft prices continue to rise I may go that route... they're going to price us regular guys right out of the market.

They just have no sympathy for those colonial folk playing electric guitar.

But you're right: working at a liquor store I can tell you that recently A LOT of prices have gone up.

Dogfish Head, most notably their 750 series. American Beauty at 14.99 a bottle? SERIOUSLY? Thats the same price as Parabola.

Nebraska Brewing. I'd like to try a taster, just so I can sample it without paying the $25 they ask for their 750 bottles, but I don't recall seeing any of their beers on tap around my place.

Most are big beers, and large format to boot. You can't have them on the list and have other great sour makers like RR off the list because they sell 375 formats at a higher $ per volume. Outside of Firestone Walker and Deschutes seasonal release, the big barrel aged stouts, BWs etc... are over $20

FFF is overpriced on just about everything they make and not worth the extra money.
