How the hell are you locking up a case?

 

He knows a guy that dated a girl who had a roomate that used to be married a lady that knows a rep that used to hang out with a distributor who can get a case for him.

Oh, I guess I just need to make friends with the right people instead of having to hit multiple shops every day to get a case

 

Truly what I have found is that being a regular, and being nice goes a long way. There are small volume shops that have a tough time turning over high end inventory that want to sell cases, insted of holding it for a few weeks to months and selling singles. Win-win.

 

Huh, Ill have to give asking my local a shot.

 

Except in MA, only 3 stores can have beer. I'm not currently at a store with beer. Hopefully soon!

Of a chain. So say theres 25 whole foods in mass, only 3 can have a license. (5 soon)

They upped it to 5 stores this year, then I think 2 more stores in 2 years, and 2 more 2 years after? Something along those lines.

Something tells me you need to look at the distribution the great state of Massachusetts receives. We may not have the best breweries in the country, but when it comes to distribution it's in the top 5. Easy. Last year it got to the point of saying, "meh, I have enough Parabola," while people in California have ISO for it. Hill Farmstead and Heady Topper are now coming in too, so I'll take it with a smile and not look back.

I went to try your pitch, got about as far as asking about Parabola and my local guy said he had set 6 aside for me since I bought so much Sucaba from him. When I asked if he could set a case aside, he had no problem. Love the small volume shops
