So the tattoo artist working on my sleeve was awesome enough to offer coming in on his day off to work on my sleeve because of my work schedule being so tight. So rather than your typical cash exchange tip (which I still did because c'mon its his day off) I brought a couple NB globes and 2 bottles of Backwoods Bastard that I had been holdin on to since October (which is drinking awesome right now, still very bourbony, so if your waiting for that to die down a bit you should hold off a bit longer) Now this wasn't something Id do to a BMC drinker or anything we have had plenty of conversations about beer and I feel he is on that tipping point of becoming more of an advocate and BB being the first beer to really blow me away that is what was chosen! any of you have any sort of similar stories?
Never thought of tipping with beer..... Backwoods bastard label would make a helluva Tatt.....Being your first an all, maybe you should commemorate it by getting this tattoo?
The dude who did my half-sleeve (ie. my avatar, incidentally) has done some work for the folks at Three Floyds (and designed the first Arctic Panzer Wolf label). He said he hard time finding it on store shelves, though, so when we were finished, he seemed to really appreciate the pair of APW's I gave him in addition to the cash gratuity.
I tipped a bartender that I frequent (and who happens to be a buddy) a 750 of Cantillon Geuze one time. That was pretty fun.
The original APW art is THE BEST. I have an empty bottle of that on the top of my desk at work. If I have work done at the house and I know the folks are beer fans, I ALWAYS offer beer as well as cash.
I sent a box of killer beers to the company i buy almost all my synthesizer modules from as a "thanks for your years of great service". They appreciated it.
