    Barrel-Aged Sour Brown Ale
In Britain, what started out as young or “mild” dark ale was once aged in oak barrels to make something that was likely similar to sour brown ales of East Flanders. Using a similar base recipe to Commercial Suicide Dark Mild, Ol’ Oi is Jester King’s tribute to that tradition.

    Packages: 750ml bottles
    Availability: Limited
    OG: 1.051 FG: 1.003 ABV: 6.3%
    Water: Hill Country Well Water
Malt: Organic Munich, Abbey, Organic Wheat, Organic Caramunich, Chocolate
Hops: Organic East Kent Goldings, and/or other varieties depending on availability
Yeast: Farmhouse Yeast, Wild Yeast from the Texas Hill County.
    Bacteria: Lactobacillus and Pediococcus.

    Contains no animal products.
    Contains wheat.

it's on the bottles to go list for this weekend..

It's a great beer. Really wish they had sold it at Funk-n-Sour.

yeah, I had it several months ago for the first time. it was great. Had it for the second time on sunday, glad it's finally able to go. Probably a new batch? The bottles had the actual labels and not the white on-site labels.

I had planned on eating some Stanley's Friday evening, and this will make the night even better. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't wanna make a whole thread about this, but is ru55 coming back to Houston? That's the only sour beer I've really liked, and would like to try another

No. As of now, all of their limited releases are going to only be sold at the brewery.

Yeah, they should have plenty of them. I just meant the way they are categorized on their website.

I don't doubt it. Just lamenting the unfortunate timing.

It's been my favorite non-fruit JK beer since it was the sour commercial suicide a few years ago. Glad to see it finally making its way out of the taproom!

I had this on tap while at the Atrial Rubicite release, I really didn't care for it. I remember it being ridiculously heavy on the oak. Boxer's Revenge and RU-55 were both fantastic though. And everything else Jester King does, of course. Still the most innovative and unique brewery in Texas.
