It's ready to begin distribution and it is a BIG brewery right from the start.
I asked the Beer Baron what he thought of the IPA (not that we need another one), and it intrigued me.
The four beers that will be launched in November are:
We'll see what Kirby Nelson brings in the coming years. He should know what's going on in the industry as much as anyone else. I have questions as to whether this company is in it for the beer or for building the largest brewery in WI.

They do seem to be pretty fixated on being the largest in the state. As was mentioned in the WJS article comments, his goal is over 1/2 of WI's current production figures. I hope they put as much effort into good beer as they do self promotion.

You live in Michigan now bro, all Wisconsin beers are inferior. (That was a joke, I crave many beers from the Taint of Michigan, also known as Wisconsin.)

It's hard to let go, it's like how no matter how much you like your new girlfriend you still like to know what the old one is up too.

Gonna be bigger than New Glarus. Gonna out Spotted-Cow Spotted Cow. Awesome. This is a dot com bubble level of hubris. Nice shiny business plan....which will count for a dot com bubble level of bupkis if the product isn't good enough to generate growth.

They can brag all they want, they didn't get all that money invested by being humble about what they want to do.

I'm not a big Capital fan either, but Jacked was pretty good, and Dark Doppelbock and Autumnal Fire are excellent -- they definitely know their bocks.

Was Jacked a Kirby recipe? I was under the impression that came under the new regime.

All four WiscoBC beers will be on Monday Morning at the Moon. Should make for a fun Packer Game. Can't say for sure if Kirby or Carl or anyone else is showing up. I hear that they are just a tad busy this weekend...

New breweries opening up are a dime a dozen. I'm not getting out of bed for this one yet.

    Agreed, absolutely top notch.

However, I see no bocks on the list of 4 from the new brewery, and instead a session IPA (yuck).

Take over Spotted Cow? They are going to have to win over alot of people such as my wife.

    I don't like their attitude.
A lot of competition for my beer dollars and proclamations of being the biggest does not mean anything to me.
Put out a drinkable 10% abv barleywine in a 6-pack for around $10. and we'll talk about it.

I don't know if this was just my experience, but their customer service is absolutely dreadful. WBC reached out to my place of work here in Madison and basically expected us to order a few cases on the spot. They offered no more information than a small card detailing the new brand and their goals. No beers to try, no offers to send a few test cases, just a visit asking how much we would like to order. This has never been my experience with a new brewery, and after working in the service industry for years I've seen some pushy distributors but they take the cake.
