First time I had Robert the Bruce I was blackout drunk. Paid $12 for the six pack. Drank them all poolside out of a plastic cup on vacation. Woke up the next day and found a Three Floyds bottle cap in my pocket. Didn't even remember drinking it, so I was a little disappointed.

As far as a truly bad beer I regretted drinking, Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin stands out because it destroyed my palate for the rest of the night, also made me feel like shit because it was so spicy. Never again.

Oh my god thank fuck said Habanero Sculpin. It was so fucking bad that I can't even drink regular Sculpin anymore because it reminds me of the experience. Thanks for ruining your best beer for me, Ballast Point. And at '12 GABF no less.

Regret? Beer? I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.

Taste is subjective. I feel that DFH 90 wasn't well balanced, like theye tried covering up some of the bitterness by adding more sugar and ended up making it cloying and syrupy. Bigfoot does NOT taste like a barleywine and is waaay overhopped for the style (should be called Bigfoot DIPA). As for Celebrator, I felt like it was too sweet for my tastes, but it's a beer I'm willing to try again in the future to see if my palate has changed. Basically, with a few exceptions, I've come to the conclusion that high gravity beers just aren't for me, and with most of the "world-class" beers it seems like "more alcohol = better beer" to a certain degree.

So what, our Sox won at home for the first time since 1918 and you celebrated with an expensive beer! I regret I did not have any good beer to celebrate with!

Bigfoot is an American Barleywine, it's supposed to be hoppy. But it's fine not to like it.

I forgot that there was American and English styles, my mistake. Not a huge hop-head by any means anyway, particularly when the hops don't add flavor or aroma, just bitterness.

I wish I didn't drink my first Heady Topper (ever) the other night in a hurry before a concert. The other one I still have will be poured in a glass (despite what the can says) and enjoyed much more leisurely.

Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. It's good you didn't mistake my post for being tongue-in-cheek or anything.

Usually I wake up in the morning wondering why I thought I needed to drink those last 2 beers, whatever they were.

Except that "Voodoo Doughnut" is not a specific beer. Are you talking about Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale, or Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter Ale!?

You're from Michigan, there will be plenty of trading opportunities for more Heady in the future. I wouldn't sweat it.

I tried an MGD 64 once because I knew it would be awful, but I just wanted to see how bad. I'm definitely not a BMC hater (I've drank tons of it) but MGD 64 is a disgrace. Seriously, just do a 1oz shot of (insert hard liquor) if you want to get a buzz whilst avoiding calories.

You must have had a bad batch or it was stored wrong. I punch babies for bottles of 120

Stone Suede Imperial Porter. It smells and tastes like someone added cheap perfume to a perfectly fine imperial porter. I love virtually everything else from Stone, so I foolishly kept drinking it hoping either the taste or my opinion of the taste would change. It didn't.
