Other things you do to enjoy your beer

Friends and/or women are a big plus for me.

 

I like to enjoy a beer while grilling or just sitting outside enjoying the day on my veranda, especially now that it has cooled off in the evenings and I can put a fire in the fire pit. A good cigar with a quality Porter or Stout for an after dinner relax is also very pleasurable, especially after a long day at work. I also enjoy drinking good beers with friends as opposed to alone as we swap beer stories, compare notes, and bottle share a lot of good brews that otherwise I would not be able to enjoy as doing 750's or even bombers (in multiples) solo is a bit too much to enjoy alone.

 

I like to sip mine in a buddy's garage while everyone else drinks bud light. They will always try what I bring and almost never like it. It's an interesting dynamic as I don't rag on them for drinking BL, but I catch endless crap for drinking craft. The face a bud light drinker makes after a nice big gulp of ruination is more than a fair trade.

 

I often drink while playing guitar or jamming with friends.
sometimes while splitting wood with my maul, makes me feel like a viking.
I don't drink while I train muay thai, but it's a very common thing with french muay thai fighters I find interesting many drink vodka or wine while practicing its crazy.

 

I like to think about what beer I am going to drink next... while drinking beer.

Not working

 

My most enjoyable tasting beers are on empty stomach, before a meal. Anytime in afternoon or early evening, the beers flavors usually taste their best to me. Worst is after I've had too much to eat or already sampled too many beers. After 2-3 different samplings, its best to wait until another day before popping open a really top shelf beer and just continue conversations with cheaper swill or an easy drinker craft style.

 

Sharing my beer with good people always makes it taste better.

 

Nailed it. All of my most enjoyable beer tastings are on an empty (or nearly empty) stomach.

While work does not make beer drinking more enjoyable... beer drinking could make work more enjoyable.

 

I peruse Beeradvocate. Because being on here makes me want to drink beer in the first place. So why not fulfill that longing.

 

Music, cooking, sex, Madden, sports, sex, Lawnmowing, politics, religion, sex, painting, carpentry, auto repair, sex, horsin' around w/ grandkids, dancing, skydiving, sex, Criminal Minds, reading. Pretty much covers it.

 

i agree with OP on the cooking. Grilling and pounding cheap beer rules. Plus you always have an extinguisher in your other hand in case of flare ups.

 

yardwork . chess. sometimes i like to pump iron. i also like to have one beer at an establishment and walk to the next for another pint if i am in the city all while trying to find street food or other interesting things to take in while walking. chatting up birds who are receptive to my weak game also should qualify i suppose

 

After a full day of work or school and before dinner. Thats when beers taste the best.

 

If I'm by myself, music. Otherwise, women. Yep, sounds about right.
