The other justification used is their desire to plan additional events. I applaud them for that and I'm sure the events will be great. I just wish I had a choice between the cost increase and attending these events. I'd gladly pay $50-$75 less for a membership that just offers beers while forgoing these events.

I can also extrapolate that some of the increase is due to the fact that they've moved into The Source and now have two locations to deal with. They may have taken a leap and projected highly when opening the spot at The Source and are now trying to cover the move.

I also don't fault the price increase, because I know (and they do too), that they can get that price, no problem.

EXACTLY. I wish they would just come out and say "We feel that we're putting out a highly premium product that is currently underpriced in the market" instead of "it costs too much to store the beers." It comes across as a bit disingenuous to me.

Who says these events aren't going to cost members? I highly doubt they will be free

Yes, it's just first right to buy tickets. Or member-only dinners (still have to purchase tickets)

If any current member would like to defer some of the cost, I'd be happy to split a membership with someone.

I have a degree in fuzzy math and cant figure out how splitting a membership makes the beer costs less per oz. Each person just gets less of it right? With that said, if anyone is looking to buy a tin tacker for either 2014 or 2013, long sleeve tshirt or sweatshirt, next years glasses( i promised this years away) please contact me. Ill hook you up for what I think these items are worth in the current Denver market plus the room I used in my house to store said items.

I'll buy your 2014 glasses and you won't even need to store them in your house as I'll pick them up when released. Do I get a discount or pay for others to store things at your house?

I went ahead and renewed. I had an Origins last night that reminded me just how much I like what they're doing. At this point, it's more expensive and (obviously) I don't like that, but it's still worth it to me. The fact that my wife chipped in didn't hurt, too. There are a few instances where I'll pay a premium price for beers that may or may not be $ for $ worth the money. This is one of those instances...at least for now.

If anybody in the Denver metro area wants to split a membership, BM me. The membership can be in your name since I don't care about the taproom discount, t-shirt, glasses, etc - just the beer. Thanks!

Anyone who was on the fence about renewing want to split a membership. I am in El Catador and so is a buddy of mine and we can offer some bottles from that.

I'm trying to get in this year and split with a buddy. We are wondering how many extra of each allotment you are typically allowed to purchase.

They ranged from 3-6 extra allocation this year. Some people were able to buy extra allocations (after the initial allocations) of almost everything

    An allocation being 2x375ml?

You get 2x375ml for the membership. An allocation after that is 1x375ml. So for example for the last two bottles they are Persica blend 1 & 2. You get 2x375ml for each blend with your membership for a total of 4 bottles. Then you were able to buy 4x375ml for each blend for a total of 8 bottles. So each member should (if they bought the extra allocations) 6 bottles of each blend.

The L'Brett Plum was 2 with the membership and you could buy an extra 3 bottles. That was the lowest extra bottle allocation this year.

As an additional addendum to this, and to make it even more confusing.

Any Persica that was not sold in the first sale was then put back on sale again to Members.
    So 2x375mL membership
4x375mL additional for purchase for members
remaining on sale for members to buy at same 4x375mL limit.

Didn't want to confuse even more but you're right. Most of the bottles that were left after the frist allocation went for a 2nd allocation sale. The only one that didn't make it to 2nd allocation was the L'Brett Plum. That ran out the first time around.

The extra Perscias did not last long, either. Sold out in only a few minutes.
