Nice I was going to go look for some after work. Did you happen to notice if they had any Backwoods Bastard left?

I did not actually. I think I saw you last night at Binkies. What were your thoughts on the Darkness?

Shouldnt you be sorta ambivalent to the taste of both wet and abrasive?

I am going to be the odd one and say I liked it better when released in mid to late December. There are so many Holiday beers released in November and my fridge and cellar start bursting. It was nice to have something released in the typical void of December.

You could, I don't know, wait until December to buy it. Maybe?

Just had my first of many for the year. Its the same as always; fucking delicious. I had PtE, blind pig, Heady, OTWOA, Jai ali, Elevated, and abrasive in the last week (hows that for an IPA bender?) and I have to say I liked abrasive the best.(although the very first batch of heady I traded for was the best IPA ive ever had, no question, but the last 2 trades were mediocre. wtf?) (also, I decided Elevated is one of the only IPAs im trading for in the future. Its delicious and under hyped compared to a lot of others I think. Im still not giving up on heady though. Im trying to get back my first 'Heady high' like a crack addict.)

I think abrasive is extremely consistent year to year, and delicious as always. We are extremely lucky to have it!

Also, Zipps still has a full row as of 6:30 ($15.99)

Just had my first of the season. Eh, it's no worse than last year's. Which means it's no worse than the best fucking brew I've ever tasted!

Damn, that's quite the list of top shelf IPA's/IIPA's. We need to hang out and drink some beer  I'm really trying to complete a bunch of trades right now to get any of the Vermont beers and not having much luck so far.

This was the first year I missed out on Wet. I've heard a lot of conflicting viewpoints, what was different and what was wrong with it? Is a recipe change intentional, or is based on what hop varieties are freshest at the time?

Yeah, but take into consideration the PtE and Blind Pig are now 60+ days young

But no, I totally agree, we are extremely lucky to have Abrasive Ale available here! I actually like that its a seasonal as it's something to really look forward to. Such a great brew!

I am not sure why, but the hops have changed every year. I assume it is based on what hops they can get to brew it.
