Honestly, If it starts at 11, there will most likely be people there pretty damn early. Anyone have a comparison to other releases from them?

I was there about 30 minutes before, for the Birth of Tragedy/Daybreak release. Probably 30th or so in line...

Don't worry, he'll be late with his car stuck in a swamp somewhere anyways.

it depends how they are set up and if you are filling growlers.

when they have separate lines (which I believe saturday will), the line for bottles moves very quick, it is the growler fill line that is SLOW.

i've showed up at the time of the release the past bunch of releases and never had a problem getting bottles, just ended up having to wait in line an hour or two to get growlers filled.

Show up when they open and you'll get bottles. Prepare for a very slow growler line at releases/events. Like an hour+ wait if you don't get there really early.

I find it quicker to head up Slapp Hill/Center Rd. from Hardwick. Check Google maps. It's really not difficult, just takes awhile (from anywhere, even here in VT). Most GPS's can find it nowadays too.

Are there going to be any draft offerings at thi release? I know at the birth of tragedy/daybreak release they were pouring a few for $5 a pop...

'fraid not. I will be judging at the Noonan Memorial homebrew competition Saturday. I don't get up to Greensboro often and that is a sin, but Blackback Pub, 15 minutes from home, is usually pouring at least 4 HF beers and that is so much easier. Even from the neighborhood, it's a 65-80 minute haul, depending on weather, to the source. Yes, sounds whiney, but we are pretty spoiled here, not that you have it so bad in MA...

Haha... yea it's real tough down here... First time heading up there... We are getting up around 4 AM so we can snag some food before standing in line. Unfortunately, I'm working Saturday night so it's going to be a very long day.

Just a tip, plan on having no cell phone/internet/gps capabilities for your last 30 before getting there

Ouch. You're a brave man. Hit up the Wayside in Montpelier for a cheap, hearty breakfast/brunch on the way up.

ATT works up there, Verizon doesn't - exactly opposite to what you'd expect (as is much of the N.E. Kingdom). GPS will work unless you lose the road and the trees block it.

    Ever seen Deliverance?
